Turner's Duncan Racing International would

Duncan racing is known for building some trick quads
and incredibly powerful engines but their key feature
at the show was the new Vortex Engine Control Units.
With the introduction of fuel injection, it seems
everyone and their brother has come out with some
new fuel mapping system or ignition control unit.
The beauty of the Vortex ECU (engine control unit)
is that it’s everything you need rolled into
one. The unit controls not only spark timing and
Voltage output but also fuel metering and other
engine management functions. It comes with ten pre
programmed performance fuel & ignition maps
and has three additional fuel trim switches to allow
the user to further match the power output to the
riding conditions.
Vortex is an Australian based company and is
working exclusively with Duncan racing to distribute
the ATV line of their ignition products here in
the US. Currently, Vortex has been working extensively
with Geico powersports Honda riders Trey Canard,
Kevin Windham and Brett Metcalfe on the development
of the ECU and has achieved significant success.

It seems everyone roles out the best and brightest
for the Sand Sports Super show and with good reason.
Cascade Innovations has established themselves
as one of the premier builders of custom themed
quads and they had three on display at their booth.
Their General Lee quad is always a show favorite
and draws a crowd everywhere it goes. They made
sure to mention “it’s for sale.”
Cascade Innovations offers a complete line of
billet accessories and custom seat covers to dress
up nearly every make and model of ATV.

RV's right near the riding location to take
the hassle out of hauling your rig around
everywhere! |
The last show goody we were impressed with isn’t
so much a goody as it is a service. Glamis Dunes
Storage is an RV storage facility located in Glamis
California. Every year, hundreds of thousands of
dune goers wrack up mileage on their vehicles, RV’s
and Toy Haulers making trips to the world’s
largest sand box. At the end of a long weekend,
these same folks sit in a painfully long line of
RV’s waiting to get out and motor down the
highway away from the dunes.
Glamis Dunes Storage takes the headache out of
hauling your rig and your toys to the dunes. They
offer a place to park your rig all year long or
just for the riding season so you can show up,
hook up, and head out to your favorite camping
spot. Included in your monthly or annual fee is
free drinking water to top of your rig before
each weekend as well as free use of their five
lane, onsite RV dump station. Other onsite amenities
include fuel, diesel, race gas, firewood and options
for RV prep delivery and setup.
