St. George, Utah |
The higher elevation riding area at Sand Hollow
is much like the Glamis Sand Dunes in California
but with a twist. Sand Hollow has large red sandstone
boulders scattered throughout the dunes that make
things interesting. The dunes can range from small
to large and can wind though the many boulders.
There are also long whooped out sections that
will test your agility if you are on a sport ATV.
You can also find several rock crawls that you
may need spotter as we found out first hand!

including sand dunes, rock crawls, and desert
trails |
The trails at Sand Hollow are not marked nor
do they have any kind of indication how difficult
the trail is. It is smart to bring along another
rider when you hit the trails. It is also a good
idea to keep an eye on your surrounding or take
along a GPS, and or cell phone so you do not find
yourself lost. Sand Hollow offers a wide range
of landscape that sometimes can get a little rough
so it is best to be prepared.
