Bellingham, WA (11/4/2014) - With over 1.5 million views on YouTube, I’m sure most off-road enthusiasts have seen the XP1K viral video put together by UTV Underground and Mad Media that features RJ Anderson blasting through a host of obstacles and extreme terrain in a Polaris RZR XP1000 that would make almost anyone pucker just a little. While it seems hard to be able to top anything in XP1K, the huge success of the film of course spawned the need for many following videos in the 4 part series to not only be in completely different and extreme settings, but also more over the top than its predecessor.

XP1K2 Film Crew

Over 40 people were on set during the filming of the XP1K2 Video

The location for such a production is kept confidential and only a select few members of the media are ever invited out to the set, but ATVRiders.com was lucky enough to be on that short list to get a behind the scenes look at the making of XP1K2.

RJ Anderson XP1K2

RJ Anderson was once again behind the wheel of a modified Polaris RZR XP 1000 for the second installment of the popular XP1K Viral Videos

For XP1K2, the location was set in the rain forest foothills of the North Cascade mountain range east of Bellingham, WA, which was a far cry from the sweltering desert location of the original XP1K film.

RJ Anderson all geared up to hit some of the extreme jumps and obstacles during the filming of the XP1K2 video shoot

“We wanted it to be totally different from the first XP1K and show the diversity of the Polaris RZR XP1000 and bring the film to a wider audience. We really want to showcase RJ (Anderson) and the RZR in unique ways that are going to draw in as many people as possible. That's why we are planning on four films. All will have very different settings, which we believe will appeal to even more people,” said UTV Underground's founder, Joey DiGiovanni.

Polaris RZR XP 1000 Camera Boom

There was a variety of cameras and vehicles used during the production of the XP1K2 video including a specially outfitted Polaris RZR XP 1000 with front mounted camera boom that was used for high-speed shots

“The location was actually brought to our attention by Mark Holz (of Holz Racing). He had built some snowmobiles for the family that owns the property and thought it might be of interest to us. We checked it out and it was a perfect setting for what we had in mind.” said Josh Martelli.
