2012
Motoworks / DWT’s AMA Pro ATV Motocross
Race Team
::Continued::
Because every year the competition seems to get
tougher, Natalie has also stepped up his training
program for 2012. “We hit the gym every
morning and work hard, after a few hours there,
we spend the rest of the day riding and working
on the quads. There’s no time off for me.
This is my job and even though it is a lot of
fun and everything I have ever wanted, I still
take it very seriously. I live for the competition,”
stated Natalie.

John Natalie Jr. & Motoworks / DWT teammate
#88 Joel Hetrick |
One change for this season is that Natalie will
be joined by new teammate, Joel Hetrick. “Joel
is definitely an asset to the team. He has so
much talent and in my opinion, he is the best
up and coming racer out there. I’m really
looking forward to having him as my teammate for
this year. I think we will have a very successful
season. Joel is fast and between the two of us,
I think we will be on the podium a lot and hopefully
end this year with another championship,”
said Natalie.

Joel
Hetrick took an impressive two AMA ATV MX
Pro wins during his Pro Class Rookie Year
in 2011 |
New to the Can-Am/Motoworks camp this season
is Joel Hetrick, who will be in his sophomore
year as a pro racer. Hetrick found his groove
late in the 2011 season and wowed everyone with
his amazing wins at Unadilla and Loretta Lynn’s
to wrap up the year on a high note.
It was those wins that caught the eye of Motoworks
team owner, Johnny Leach. “Joel showed a
lot of potential and now that he has joined the
Motoworks team he has been working hard and we
expect to see a lot out of him this season,”
stated Leach.
Hetrick is also excited to be a part of the team
and has high hopes for his first year. “I’m
really happy to be here and be a part of the team.
Everything has been coming together really well
and I can’t wait for the season to start,”
said Hetrick.

Joel Hetrick has been training at Dee Manshack's
facility in Texas during the off-season
to be in top condition for the 2012 AMA
ATV MX Pro Nationals |
Like Natalie, Hetrick has been putting in a lot
of time at the gym and on the track and has spent
time down in Texas training over the winter at
Dee Manshack’s facility. “We’ve
been hitting the gym every day and doing everything
we can to be ready for the first round. The weather
has been really great and we have been putting
in a lot of time on the track and just getting
everything ready,” stated Hetrick.

Joel Hetrick switched mid season from a
Kawasaki KFX450 to a Honda 450R ATV. In
2012, Hetrick will again switch models and
will be racing a Can-Am DS450 ATV |
Last season, Hetrick switched from Kawasaki to
Honda in the middle of the season and now he will
have to adjust to another quad for 2012, but that
transition hasn’t seemed to bother him very
much as Hetrick has adjusted well to the DS450.
“Some guys have to take a little time to
get used to a new ride, but I got used to the
Can-Am my first time out. The handling was great
and the power was awesome. I thought it would
be harder to get used to, and even my dad was
a little skeptical, but everything just went really
great. I’m really looking forward to getting
it out on the track for the first round,”
said Hetrick.
