Cumming, GA- They say winning
Championships is hard, but defending them is even
harder. Apparently no one told the Media Allstars;
entering their eighth season as a team, they’ve
amassed an impressive 31 National Championships,
150 Overall Wins, 357 Moto Wins, 908 Podium Finishes
(2nd-3rd), and 969 Top-Five Finishes (4th-5th).
But it wasn’t until after earning the 2011
“Race Team Of The Year” award that
they’ve felt the pressure to “repeat”.

“Earning the Race Team Of The Year award was
definitely the high point for this team, I won’t
lie, there were years where we knew we deserved
it, and left the banquet angry, and empty handed.
But finally coming away with it has been awesome,
and something that the entire team is really, really
proud of.” Stated team owner/ founder Jorge
Cuartas. That good feeling is something the team
isn’t exactly ready to relinquish. “We’re
so fired up about it, that we’re not letting
it go without a fight, and as a result have put
more into this off-season than ever before.”
The off-season push included securing all of
their Championship earning riders for the team
roster, as well as adding a few key pieces. Returning
to the team are 4 Stroke B Champion Dylan Tremellen,
4 Stroke A Champ Jake “Quick Draw”
McGraw, Open C Champ Nick Lepkoske, and +25 Champ
(and Team Manager) Chase Cunningham, Austin McGraw,
Dan Hoisington, Ryan Wheeler, Calen McGinty, Matthew
& Josh Holley, Dale & Mark Batson, Brandon
Benlien, & Bailey Howard. Joining the team
are 90 Mod National Champ Brett Musick, Women’s
class Championship contenders Kelsey Dyer &
Kaitlynn Bushey, & Josh Rager. “I don’t
want to jinx it, but we feel really good about
2012, we’re ready to step things up to pre-recession
levels, and are committed to push the boundaries
on all fronts.”

Pushing boundaries has been a team credo since
day one, and the team certainly hasn’t forgotten
their DIY roots, and work ethic. “We’re
investing huge amounts of time into our presence
outside of the track, we’re attacking social
media, and our online presence in general with
an increased sense of urgency. We’ve also
spent allot of time trying to recreate the feeling
we had when we formed the team back in ’04.
We’re trying to create an atmosphere in
which these kids feel a familial bond with their
team mates, and sponsors.”
