2012 Media
Allstars AMA ATV MX Race Team
::Continued::
Outside of the team’s primary focus on
the ATV MX Nationals, there will be a two-man
effort contesting the TQRA series. Media Allstars
Alumnus Austin Wilson will be heading up the effort,
along with TQRA Open Quad & Open B Class Champion
Pake Shinn. This two-man effort will carry the
Media Allstars flag in hopes of establishing an
increasing presence at the TQRA series.

“We’re trying to increase our presence
at the grass roots level, and Austin & Pake
certainly have what it takes to not only win,
but represent what we believe in. Grass roots
level racing is a huge priority for us, and we’re
trying to get involved in these smaller series
in ways that make sense. Local racing has to become
a bigger priority for not only us, but the entire
industry, we’ve (Media Allstars) always
said that without roots the tree can’t grow,
and without these smaller series, the Nationals
can’t survive. We’re going to build
bridges to these markets, and hopefully we can
drag some of the industry along with us.”
The eventual team goal is to have strong teams
at the TQRA, plus the Quad Cross series out West,
NEATV series in the North East, and SE Quads in
the South East.
Another offshoot to the team will be the newly
formed “Alumni” team. “It’s
exactly what the name states, it’s comprised
entirely of former Media Allstars that still race
on occasion.” Jake Brattain (class of 06-09),
Media Allstars founders Jorge Cuartas/ Zac Willett/
& Mark Kendall, Caleb & Colten Moore (class
of 06-07) Casey Martin (class of 07), & Dustin
Shuler (class of 08).

“We’re all part timers, we all want
to have fun and race without robbing resources
from the current team, and we want to look good
doing it.” Alumni members will make appearances
at Nationals sporadically throughout the season,
as well as the team dinner at Loretta Lynn’s.
Comprised entirely of ATV Racing Veterans the
Alumni team will serve as a mentoring force for
the current class of Media Allstars.

a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for
a lifetime.”

"After the season we had in 2011 I'm pumped
to get this one started. We've got every single
one of our Championship riders from last year returning.
A few of our guys were injured for most of last
season or I feel we would have won a couple more
championships, so we'll be getting those guys back
for 2012 as well. The talent on our team this season
I think is just going to amaze people. We got a
lot of great resumes in the off season and picked
up a few new riders, we've even diversified ourselves
some as we'll be supporting a few fast ladies in
2012!" "All in all I'm happy that both
myself and Morehead Motorsports can be involved
in the lives and racing careers of so many talented
riders and their families. I fully expect this season
to be our best to date!"
-Chase Cunningham
“Joining the Media Allstars was the highlight
of my racing career. The Media Allstars are supported
best companies in the industry and the team puts
together an amazing program. Being apart of the
team was a dream come true. Working with Jorge
and the other team members greatly influenced
how I conduct myself still to this day.
