Byrd has made a living with his schools did not hesitate after the loss of Caleb Moore to use one of his schools to support the family. “As soon as we heard of his passing our first thoughts were, what can we do for the family? As ATV racers we are a family and we needed to do something. I got with Dade City and set this school up to be a benefit. A lot of sponsors helped, a lot of racers helped and we wanted to show respect and give back to his family,” said Byrd.
Despite cold and windy weather conditions the event was a success and over $5,700 was raised to help the Moore Family. The money will go through 88 Ride to Live and certainly help the Moore's in their time of need.
Everyone involved with the benefit would like to thank the racers and families that donated their time to help. Also a huge thank you to the companies that supported the event: Walsh, Fly Racing, Hinson, Webcams, Rockstar, Precision Racing products, renthal, Works Connections, PowerMadd, Scott, and Uni.
