Galena, IL (3/15/2011) - Hey everyone,
Chad Wienen here and I’m going to give you
the inside scoop of everything I have been doing
since we last saw each other at Loretta’s.
Last year was a strong learning year on my two
year contract with the Motoworks Can-Am team,
we finished the year strong with two first place
finishes at Red Bud and Lorettas and finishing
the year in 3rd place overall but only after the
entire team put in countless hours and put their
heads together to get the bike working in tip
top shape.
After racing concluded, Danica and I headed
back home where to continue putting finishing
touches on the house. We were able to move in
mid-June so we had little things here and there
to finish up and make it cozy. We were lucky throughout
the entire process because as my dad is a contractor,
he and my brother did most of the work and truly
made the whole process run a lot smoother. It
does make it harder to stay away from home now
though that my dream house is up and running and
our backyard is every rider’s paradise.

To wrap the season up we headed out to Pala,
California to attend the AMA Pro Awards banquet.
We had a great time hanging out with all of the
other pro riders, the girls even walked away with
quite a large stack of chips at the end of the
night and the men on the other hand were not so
lucky but hey I guess that’s why they call
it lady luck. Sorry Mark.
On that gambling note, we celebrated Thomas Brown’s
21st birthday out in Las Vegas. And besides the
winnings we brought home, well I’ll keep
to what they say, “What happens in Vegas…Stays
in Vegas.”
Before leaving home I got myself back in shape
with T.O.P. Performance Training, a training regiment
I have used for the past few years to help me
get to the top. This year my trainer, Justin Carter
and myself have teamed up to offer the exact training
regiment I use to the public. Which has been a
very exciting process and I am looking forward
to seeing how well the riders we have on the program
perform this season. Check it out online at www.topofpodium.com.
After spending time with the family over the
holidays, we had the proper send off to head down
south and get back into the swing of things. First
stop, Kemp Texas and the Underground. We spent
a few short days here getting some seat time and
playing around on Kyle Regal’s Supercross
track. Heading down a little farther south, we
stopped at Splendora, TX where we spent a majority
of the time throwing down some laps and hitting
up the gym. Thanks Manshack family for your hospitality.
