Zanesville, OH (9/18/2015) - Jason
Luburgh earned two runner-up finishes over the weekend
during Rounds 3 and 4 of the TerraCross Championship
Pro RZR UTV race at the Sno Barons Hay Days. The
defending champion, Luburgh extended remains in
the points lead in the title chase with four podium
finishes on the season.
The race was held as part of the annual Sno Barons
Hay Days, which is the kick off for winter for
snowmobile enthusiast, and the Terracross track
this year was once again built by Jason Luburgh
and fellow racer, Dana Creech, which featured
TerraCross’ signature over-under jump, as well
as more technical sections. The course also featured
the Mystik Mangler section, which incorporated
a large dugout wall section of tires, allowing
the RZRs a dramatic launch over the tires.

Keystone
Automotive's #1 Jason Luburgh battled
his way through the pack in Round 3 to
claim a second place finish
|
Keystone Automotive’s Jason Luburgh finished
second in the first of the two events after attrition
took its toll on the tough and tacky track. “Everyone
else’s misfortune really paid off for me today,”
said Luburgh. “I hooked up with RJ and we really
made our way through the pack. Some people had
bad luck and we went to the front.”

Andersin
Design's Jason Luburgh quickly charged
into the 2nd spot in the fourth round
of the Terracross Championship
|
In the second race, Luburgh battled problems
on his RZR and a hard-charging RJ Anderson once
again. In fact, Anderson and Luburgh ran neck
and neck during the final lap with Luburgh just
netting the runner-up slot at the checkered flag.

Lonestar
Racing's #1 Jason Luburgh held on to claim
another 2nd place finish in Round 4 to
maintain the Terracross Championship Pro
RZR Points lead heading into the season
finale to be announced
|
“I got hit really hard by someone early on, and
I thought I broke an axle,” said Luburgh. “Something
broke because it wouldn’t pull the way I wanted
it to. I was lucky to even finish the race, let
alone get second. If it had have been a couple
more laps, I think RJ would have had me.”
Lonestar Racing’s Luburgh currently holds a four-point
lead in the title chase, ahead of RJ Anderson
heading into the final doubleheader weekend of
racing, which has been postponed to a date to
be announced in the near future.
