The third round of the Terracross Championship
was held as part of the annual Sno Barons Hay
Days, which is the kick off of winter for those
up north in Minnesota with grass sled drags, parts
vendors, and a huge snowmobile swap meet. The
Terracross track is laid out in the middle of
everything, which attracts huge crowds of spectators
out to watch the racing action.
 |
tens of thousands
of people attended the Sno Barons Hay
Days event & the entire track was
surrounded by several thousand spectators
for the Polaris Pro RZR Main events
|
Once again the track was laid out by Jason Luburgh
and fellow racer Dana Creech, which featured TerraCross’
signature over-under jump, as well as more technical
track layout than the opening rounds in California.
The course also featured the Mystik Mangler section,
which incorporated a large dugout hole before
tire sections, allowing the RZRs a dramatic vertical
launch over the tires.

UTV Underground’s Mitch Guthrie, Jr. appeared
to have the ride to beat for Round 3. He won the
pole, and grabbed the holeshot and was leading
with Dana Creech in tow for the first half of
the race when two broken axles took him out of
contention.

#23 Mitch
Guthrie jr grabbed the holeshot &
lead for the first half of the race before
suffering two broke rear axles
|
Go Pro’s Dana Creech inherited the top spot,
but a broken radiator suffered after contact with
Guthrie handed the lead to Anderson for good in
the second half of the race.
 |
#33 Dana
Creech took over the lead for a lap, but
a collision into the rear of Guthrie punched
a hole in his radiator, which took him
out of the race
