Lynden, Washington (1/22/2015) - The 2015 WORCS season
started this past weekend in Taft, CA. Like every season, fresh cars are
rolled out, new faces show up to test their mettle and as soon as the
green flag drops it’s back to business. New for 15, WORCS added more
UTV classes to the program with Pro Stock, 1000 Stock and ACE.
RJ Anderson rolled into Taft and debuted a fresh new #37 Holz/Walker
Evans/Polaris RZR XP 1000 for the Pro SXS class, and then campaigned
his previous car in the SXS 1000 Production class for added
seat time. Not to be outdone, 2013 & 2014 Champ, Beau Baron brought
out his new Holz/Maxxis/Polaris RZR XP 1000 for Pro SXS.
Starting from the front row, RJ pulled a holeshot and got out in clean
air and put in a few solid laps, putting a gap on second place Guthrie.
On lap three Anderson maintained his lead, but now teammate Beau
Baron was running second. Beau suffered a belt issue but was able to
change it on course and salvage a sixth place finish — earning critical
championship points.

RJ Anderson won the first round of WORCS Racing in the SxS Pro Class driving his Holz Racing Polaris RZR |
“I had a good run today. With a clean wire-to-wire win and fast lap at
8:30.597. It’s nice to pull a win, but it’s too bad I won’t be racing the
full series. I won’t be in the championship hunt though due to other
race conflicts, but every race I’m here for I’ll be gunning for a first
place finish.” said RJ Anderson.
In SXS 1000 Production, it was time for a new Holz racer to make his
mark. Mike Gardner took his freshly built Holz Polaris RZR XP 1000
to the top of the box in the 1000 class.
In the other WORCS SXS classes, Holz built cars posted a win with
Shelby Anderson in SXS 900 with her #705 Walker Evans/Holz Polaris
RZR XP 900 and in SXS Pro Stock, Ronnie Anderson rounded
out the podium with a third place finish in his #520 Walker Evans/Holz
Polaris RZR XP 1000.
“This is great to see. Our products out winning at all levels of competition.
From proven 900 parts to the latest technology in the 1000 class,
we sell what we race.” said Mark Holz.
The Holz Racing Products would also like to congratulate the Polaris/
XtremePlus team. Willy Alcaraz and the XtremePlus Team pulled out
their fourth win in the T3 class at the 2015 Dakar. These guys put
HRP parts through the most grueling off-road race on the planet and
have won for four consecutive years. We couldn’t be more proud.
The 2015 season is starting to ramp up. Next up, Beau Baron will
head to Primm, NV for Round #2 of the WORCS Series with his
HRP/Polaris RZR XP 1000 and Ryan Holz will step in for driving
duties in the #37 Polaris/LoanMart/Walker Evans car.
