Daniels, WV (6/16/2015) - Can-Am/QuadBoss/BikeMaster’s
Bryan Buckhannon notched his second consecutive
runner-up finish June 6th at the John Penton GNCC.
Buckhannon rebounded from a missed jump on his Can-Am
and holds a 16-point lead in the Pro 4x4 Class.

Bryan Buckhannon fought through dusty conditions
and a cased triple to score the second-place finish:
“It was a crazy race. We got a decent holeshot
and I worked my way through the pack. I got up
to second on the first lap. I tried to clear a
triple and didn’t quite hit it. We broke a driveshaft.
From there on, I knew I was in big trouble, so
I had to just baby my machine and try to be as
smooth as I could. It was really dusty out there,
so I used that to my advantage. I didn’t let off
while the guys behind me were having trouble seeing,”
said Buckhannon

Buckhannon credited is Can-Am for holding up
during the race: “Thank goodness for these Can-Ams.
They are really strong and reliable. I had a winning
machine, but I just let it get away. We’re happy
with second, and we’re still in the points lead.
That shows you just how good the Can-Am is.”
Buckhannon is debuting a new Can-Am on June 20
when GNCC heads to Snowshoe, WV for Round 9 of
the series: “I’m looking forward to getting my
new Can-am Renegade and starting fresh at Snowshoe.”
Buckhannon’s nephew, also named Bryan Buckhannon,
got some valuable seat time in the Supermini 12-15
class: “He had some trouble off the start and
had to come through the pack. He finished in the
top 15. It’s not exactly what we wanted, but he’s
getting some seat time, and he’ll be ready for
Snowshoe.”
Round 9 of the 2015 GNCC series is scheduled
for June 20-21th at Snowshoe Valley Resort in
Snowshoe, WV.
