i def got to do some nice riding this weekend! Thanks! we got to ride some logging roads and such that arent traveled too often so it was great to ride on new terrain for the first time in a few years. I have never been on any of that so it was really a great day of exploring for snowmobile season. I cant wait to get the sled out there to ride in some fresh powder. :D

finished some more on the senior design project today :D it is coming along great! i have almost all of the pieces ready to weld together. some of them are done and waiting for other stuff but tomorrow it should be completed. at least thats the goal of the day. saturday will be the end result no matter what though.

awesome! this is my first year because we have no youth program but i've always been active in sports. they actually can be pretty fun to watch! i love the starts with all the dirty runners trying to spike you while you cut through the pack :macho i love pushing myself till i cant go anymore and then break that barrier and push farther..guess its my messed up idea of fun!

Well, we had a busy couple days here. Just finished refinancing our home mortgage. That will save us $170 a month
Traded my Jeep in on a brand spank'n new 2012 Scion XB which will cost the same per month as I was paying on the jeep. That helps by double my fuel mileage. That's a potential savings of $100 + per month
My Roth IRA is continually losing money. So I decided to close the account. socked away 1,500 to pay the tax penalty for closing the account.
Paid off my wifes car, that will save me $280 a month
Paid off our credit card. that will save us $ 200 + a month
Paid off my student Loan. that will save us $150 a month
Not done yet, but thats a total monthly saving of $900+
With that I'll be able to save some money and re-invest in something more agressive than my roth IRA. By eliminating Half of our large monthly bills, I think we'll be able to breathe a little bit better.

Had to pull the CR motor out of my Zuki this morning, do another complete tear down to replace the case gasket and put in the new oil seals.... Managed to do it all, from tear down to refire by 7:00..... Even had time to throw the hone through the jug again for good measure. LOL!!! Running like a top, just need to rebuild the kicker now..... Damn thing keeps skipping... But it runs, and NO SMOKE!!! :chinese: :D

Fixed an air compressor someone loaned me, dang thing needed a new line from the head to the tank. Got that sorted out but the valve at the tank leaks slightly, Im not spending my money on it so it will have to be, plus one way check valve prevents air from coming back out anyways. Now I can sandblast whatever I want.

Ran the 400ex for a few mins, looked at the plug and seems ok. Went down from a 175 which seemed quite rich to a 172-need to run it more to tell, cant judge based on playing with it in my yard.

went for a great offroad ride in my explorer tonight and got some great pictures to start the offroad weekend i have planned.

We got water in our project for SCD today and it doesnt leak too bad. fixed one earlier today and im going to fix the other ones tomorrow. only need two check valves and plumb them in and it is finished. we have to do some testing with it and then put the done stamp on it. 10 months in the making :D whoot!!!!!!!!!

for people with a spinal cord injury its the best piece of equipment you can have for working out your legs and recovery. after months of trying my insurance has been denying it. A family friend of ours that ive been talking to about it just called to say she will buy it for me because of how important it is. its a $16,000 machine! i couldnt be happier right now

sci-fi movies are usually only ok, most of them are so cheesy its not to funny (well the ones they make for the channel at least lol).

In other news im partially happy:
1. My new wheels are great, thanks so much to atvkid4ever! I had bent a wheel hitting a tree (stupid me trying to look back and make sure the rest were following).
2. I got the tierod but need to put it on.
3. I got a free old arse 14 gallon sears air compressor, but the line from the head to the tank is no good. Fixed it but wound up kinking the copper tubing a day later trying to trace a leak. Still trying to get the copper tubing bent right and somehow find a fitting that wont leak (someone custom made the thing!)
4. Chose my classes, but messed up cause I chose WAY to late. Somehow I missed the memo when it was spring you could register for the entire year :confused: Now im stuck with just 2 classes instead of the 3-4 I wanted. At least I have something
5. Hopefully going whitetail hunting after turkey day, argh but need to buy the license and since im a non resident (we hunt in PA, NJ is crazy with people shooting at you) its $100 I dont have

Bout it really, I could bore ya all but meh why bother. Going thru a tough time these past few months with finances, school, buying stuff I shouldnt have and shoulda spent on more important things, etc. I hate the economy, used to have a great job but the economy thankfully caused me to lose it.

Mines an 01. which is 2nd genertion of aluminum frames if im correct. is the cylinder not able to be bored? also once you get it going if it feels like a dog and bogs, re-jet. i rejetted mine and it was like nothin else!

if it needs a clyinder just have it bored to the next size and hone it and you will save some jack :devil:

well the piston and rings should be about the same price as standered size depending on the brand and a good bore and hone is like 50-75 bucks

Gotta check first if those cylinders are nikasil. If so you cant bore it out without replating it. Which in your case Im pretty positive it is coated.

Well its possible that you can just have a regular old sleeve put in it and then you can bore as much as you want. OR you can replate and use stock size. Think US chrome still does plating for this kinda stuff.

If the cylinders in good shape you can just put in a new piston/rings. If not then your gonna need a topend, either replating yours from a place like US chrome or buy a bigbore kit like athena.

Id strongly suggest you post over at thumper talk-there gonna know exactly what to do in your situation.

if it is nikisil then it could be just honed if it's still coated. if it is worn off you can get it replated but that can be costly. you can put a steel sleeve in it but that can also be costly. i would say the cheapest thing to do is buy a new cylinder or have it plated.

i'de have a reputable motorcycle mechanic put some calipers in it and see if it is still in specs and they will know the condition of it.

nice make sure you go over the frames factory welds and reweld em becuase those chinese quads have bad welds usally. slap a good motor in it and he will be a little racer for sure haha

Actualy, the frame seems to be pretty solid. My 200# ***** was bouncing and jumping all over it, and its holding strong, my welding isnt even done.... The tubing is quite a bit thicker than my R!!! Surprising...

I drive a AAA service truck for a private garage. I come to you and change your tire, jumpstart, unlock your car and we offer AAA batteries. 70% of it is driving around, 10% is actual work and the rest is sitting on my arse waiting for a call for service to come thru. I did 4 calls tonight, rest of the time I goofed off. I worked for 8 hours as well. Sat in my truck, read a book at the barnes and noble, walked around a target, cleaned the truck, slept when I had no calls for service.

Its rather easy work sometimes, and sometimes I have to run around like a nut doing call after call, after call. But really its super easy and time just goes by quick. Only downside is your tied to the stupid workphone and truck and dealing with people can suck sometimes.

I used to drive a tow truck, but then you have to take the people with you (smelly, nasty, obnoxious, kids, etc..no thanks) and also you gotta drive them say to NYC or philly which SUCKS. So i drive the service truck now. Its a really nice 2003 chevy 3500 van with 6.0..fast..lol

got the sleds loaded up and ready to rock this winter. i forgot to put my muff pot on but thats alright. Ill put it on when i need it so it doesnt rattle around when i dont want it on there.

:D just need gas and mi trail stickers and ill be ready to rock on the 1st of dec if theres snow. :D

well finally got a quad!! but i rode it for 5 mins and it died.. tore it down and noticed the needle in the carb was stuck cleaned the carb put it all together and she run's like a dream:) .. Hopefully im going riding tomorrow with some people and get a little muddy :devil:

The new Pitster top end should be here for Ethans bike should be here by Wednesday, and then just need to get the exhaust for it. From what I've found the trx 90 pipes should work....

i know i might have posted this awhile back, but like how hard is it to fix cracked cases on a cr125? ive got a good knowledge about them i just not to sure about this. boneless asked if it was like in them or just outer. well, idk how hard to fix either or. more of a finster question since im pretty sure he has had his 125 apart alot. kind of a virgin to bottem ends. ive rebuilt top ends but never been into the bottom of a motor to much

realy no way to fix the cases some have JB welded them and some have alum welded them but your best bet is buy new cases. it all depends on how bad the crack is pics would help

i would think most if not all people would just buy a new case. if it is cracked it could be bad enough to throw the gears off and the crank and the clutch... causing excess wear and future problems.

it could also be so minor that some silicone or jb weld will seal it up and you'll never have a problem with it again. the thing is, is that nobody knows and i personally would not chance it and buy a new case.

a picture would really help. even a very detailed discription with a stock photo would go a long way.

Ethans 110 is up and running!!!! Not very well.... Starter is in the way of the carb, so new intake is ordered and on the way. It sounds like a Harley/Subaru mix without the muffler, so that's on its way too LOL. Was hoping to get some run time on it this weekend, but it looks like we'll have to wait one more week to see what it does :D
