Just spent 4 days riding with my daughter and buddies.
Finally got to check out my new cam, (thanks again Steve).
I am very pleased with it.
Noticeable gain in the bottom end, and a little mid too.

and the new HID's were awesome !

This was an organized annual meet, where we mobilize to clean up the desert from idiots who leave there trash behind. We had about 200 volunteers, and did a great job. here's my daughter working on filling her trashbag...

finished all but the 3 questions on my fea lab for the week :)

it is nice to get a bit of time to get this stuff done when i have other stuff done ahead of time. i can pretty much take the rest of the week off now if i want to. i have everything done for friday now, my report is due on tuesday next week. I will have some more hw to do for fea later this week i suppose and that will all i have to do.

i was offered an interview at caterpillar headquarters as a supply chain engineer.. all expenses paid :D. unfortunately i am not looking to relocate to that area of illinois at all anymore. another company who is actually a supplier to caterpillar is also showing some interest, and that would definitely be my number one choice, so hopefully something happens there.

thanks! any leads for you? it's nice to know that there actually are jobs out there. i had to turn down an interview a few weeks ago for a manufacturing engineer position at automotive robotics because they wanted to fill it in 2-3 weeks.

we had about 150 companies at our fair today, only went to 8 of them but did get an interview for tomorrow morning that i am interested in talking to the company about. I might still hear back from a couple this week since they werent all doing interviews this week. some had applications online and others were going to wait a couple of weeks to do their interviews.

i have a full time package in the works at my current employer but wanted to see what else was out there for jobs and what the pay was. im hoping that it is a very good offer, i really want to make it a permanent position at my current place. everyone there work well together since we do similar things and they are a great company to work for.

my brother and i went on a bike ride today because it was almost 60. they're the normal trails we go on, but i felt pretty good today... almost done with this little sickness. i'm driving home on monday for a big interview on tuesday.. i have a lot of reasons to be happy today.

Got Ethans motor back together and bolted into the frame. Kicked it a couple times and she runs again. Need to do a couple mods to the kicker and the brace for the nerfs. It's going to be nice to be able to get rid of the battery! Definitely need to fine tune the carb in, and figure out what the shift pattern is. It's WAY loud without the exhaust bolted in tightly LOL

leaving in the morning to head west, got all the info on where im going to be and such ready for my family.

ill probably be off the comp all week, i want to try not to get on it at all for internet or anything. I am taking one of my laptops so i can get my vids off my camera and get my maps off my gps if needed, thats it.

its been an amazing week with great views, great riding, great new friends, and great adventures.

got an offer from my employer for full time, not the best but it will be a negotiation anyway since we planned on getting together to talk about it.

im going to make the best of the semester

hopefully ill get an opportunity to hang with my lady friend asap.

-Payday today!

-Changed my 450r carb to 4th needle notch as ZR recommended, lets see what happens.

-Installed a front brake switch on the EX, went thru all the trouble to wire it into the key to make it only come on with the key. Only to realize, the key gets constant power? Oh well I can put it back to stock easier if I want to.

-Going riding sun

-Got my rear axle for my pick up. It was very hard to find and is in crap shape on the outside-lets hope the inside is better. Gonna clean it off and paint it up before I even think of putting it on.

Well I did a run to Royal Distributing today, picked up some Shock Pros Canadian Flag shock covers, UNI filter, ODI rogue lock-ons, handguard extentions for those cold winter nights flyin down the sideroad, and an oil filter. Maybe do an oil change tommorow or the next day or something, but for now it's good. Hopefully getting my Canada flag seat sometime soon, what do you guys think of the covers?

lol didnt get to snowboard there but rode the sleds there. That was in island park, id :)

was 7.5 of base :) with a fresh 2.5 on top of it one day and 2 another day. they got 2 feet before we came and another 6 while we were there.

next year might be some snowboarding out there instead somewhere for a few days. i spent all week out in island park riding the sled, it was a bit long to be honest. haha

Ive been sledding alot more than snowboarding the past few years since i live alot closer to the trail now. before that i snowboarded daily for 2 years and on the weekends for 10 years. never really got into sledding too much since i was always snowboarding.

might be time to get back into snowboarding a bit again, its cheaper than sledding lol

Where I live we are pretty much at sea level with the nice mountains like 2-3 hours away.. theres a couple of tit sized hill that we hit but NOTHING like your pics..

took a full time position at the place i was an intern. it should work out pretty well after i get bonuses and such monthly and yearly. should come out between 52 and 54 grand at the end of the year. not was i was hoping for exactly for base pay but i guess with the bonuses it shouldnt be too bad. they didnt do anything with the counteroffer i presented... so I will definitely be looking around for other places. This one is close to my house at 12 miles so it will be nice to be at home and make some cash to start paying off my school loans and buy a new vehicle. another 400 will be in the stable along with a 450r also sometime this summer hopefully to add to the collection.

:D cant wait to get a new ride this spring, now i have to find an h2 that i like.

i guess the week worked out pretty well, started off rough but ended pretty well. got to ride into the 2nd full week of march on the sled and next weekend ill be able to ride the fourwheelers.

Sold my 3 wheeled bike yesterday. had about $35 bucks into it and sold it for $265 :D Made some sweet jumps in my grandpas bush and pulled off this kickass wheelie down the road. Had to be more than a mile!

got everything cleaned today after a long winter of crud getting on the explorer and pulling the sled around.

everything is officially clean now- i can sleep good tonight

im going to head home this coming weekend to get the 400 out and probably the 250r out for a little bit too. havent decided if i will get the r out, if its muddy it will stay in the garage.

i think im going to bring the 400 and the rincon north to ride up here but im not sure if i want to blow the 40 bucks on trail passes to ride a couple of times on the trails. maybe the bike will be better to have up here instead.

got some new shoes finally :)

took all of my cans in for the 10 cent deposit on them finally, got my 24 bucks back for that :)

heading home friday afternoon for the weekend. :D it will be a nice change to go home and do some riding on the 400 and 250r if its not muddy. :) still havent decided if i want to bring them up or not.

4 weeks left of school!!!!! 5 till i graduate! WOW i cant believe it. yeah baby, its getting closer and closer. I have some stuff to do tomorrow for school then i get to pack up.

its going to be quite the change not coming back to school in august thats for sure.

While shopping for a used outdated gopro on Ebay it dawned on me that I might be able to use my cabinet spiff points from work, sure enough they had the gopro2 and I had just enough points. Only down side is it's outdoor vs motosports so I might need to pick up a suction cup and j hook when I purchase my memory card and extra battery.

Sold my Daymak 125 at auction yesterday!! I paid $80 for it, and put another $80 into parts for it, and it sold for $450!! Don't know what the auction fee is but I still made lots of money. I had to have 25+ hours beating the hell out of it having a great time too. Everything kept breaking though, oil sprayed out the breather line, gas was getting in the oil, although oil wasn't getting into the cylinder? wouldn't idel, 2nd gear chipped a tooth, sprockets were loose and wouldn't tighten, alot of little things.

She named her pig "Bitsy",
(after my suggestion of "Barbie,.....Q", didn't seem to set so well with her ), LOL !

Just got back from my brothers house where he rebuilt my starter for $38 in parts (brush housing and terminal) & five guys dinner for what would have cost me $500-$600 at the dealer.

He did it today because tomorrow he is getting scoped for a torn meniscus and superatella efeusion in his right knee.

It's nice to have my quad running but even nicer to have a great brother. GL tomorrow bro.

got the new clutch in the 400, got the valves adjusted, and got the t-4 back on for a while :D did all of that yesterday when i got home yesterday.

did a bit of fishing for a half hour or so today too. :)

gonna get a new car tomorrow, 05 Mitsubishi galant, black, pics to come tomorrow if he comes up to trade me. did a straight up trade for the galant with my 600f4 and my sunfire. :D pretty happy with the trade, got out of my 97 sunfire and 99 bike for an 05 car.

i want to start looking for a cbr 1000 soon now since i got rid of my bike. I was planning to get rid of just the bike and use the cash to put toward a new bike but ill take a new car instead.

now i just have to sell the explorer so i can get my h2 later this summer. :D

I hear ya. I could use one of those to commute to work, its only 20 mile round trip but it adds up. Now school I really could use one, like 150 miles a week or better in a truck is bad. However I can justify the insurance and extra costs with another car vs just the gas I use up.

im still trying to sell my explorer, then ill buy a bike and an h2 this summer sometime.

i wouldnt want a truck to commute to school thats for sure. I drive my explorer in the winter and drive the car in the summer usually but since i wont be at school for the winter, i wont really need the explorer any more. I can finally get rid of that.

got my first northern of the year and had a few follows

i got a new st croix bass mojo pole with a quantum smoke reel from my family for graduation so i had to go break it in today :) also got myself a new fedora hat :) picked up some new spinner baits and stuff too today, caught my northern on one of the new ones today.

got to drive the new car for more than 5 minutes today too. my dad detailed it for me while i was gone so it was all cleaned up. i bought some nice led accent lights and a le bra for it tonight and have a k&n coming in the mail this week for it.

have to get the 400 started tomorrow with the new axle, carrier bearings so i dont have to mess with them again for a while with the axle, and add the nerfs when they get here this week. i have to put the header on it and do some jetting later this week also. I thought i had 185, 187, and 190 jets but dont so i have to get them before i start messing with it. the 182 thats in there now wont be enough for a header.

getting the new sled on tuesday from the trade that im doing with one of my current ones. :D

was a great weekend thats for sure.

Finally took my phone to the store, they said I can get a free upgrade so I'm now the new owner of a Samsung Galaxy W! Also got my new moose mxr brake rotor, can't get them allen bolts out but I'll have a crack at it again later, got my jetting down too :) Ordered sprockets for my Kawi, it will soon be running and ready to beat on haha, my buddy is giving me a free pro-taper bar pad for it, and valvoline sent me a free shop banner! got quite a bit of stuff done this week for not really doing alot lol

got the 400 all done again, except the axle which im still not sure if ill do. the headers on, jetted it, got the tires and rims on. i do want to take the swinger bolt out and lube that up again before summer rolls around.

got my led's in my galant, they are definitely going to be nice when its dark. the tint on the windows makes it really dark inside so they will help out alot. i did one in each foot well, two are under the dash and two are under the front seats to face back.

the only thing i wont get done this week is the rincon. my other bearing pack and my nerfs didnt come in from dennis kirk :( they said mid may which really sucks. didnt want to wait another 2 weeks for my stuff to come... thats the first time i havent had everything come within a week though.

been doing some fishing, thats been nice!

got the car and new sled transferred to my name so they are both officially mine now lol, had to go to the dmv and the dnr to get that stuff switched today.

finally bought some new shoes :) that will be nice, the 15 dollar walmart ones just dont cut it haha

have to put everything away tomorrow finally... my room looks like a bomb went off in it since i just brought everything in and set it on the floor haha time to get organized a bit again tomorrow. thats the only project left to do :(

monday work starts :( time to finish growing up and start making some money finally. haha i have plenty to pay off thats for sure.

Well I finally got my Kawi up and running again. Had it all back together last night and was itching to finally break it in. Break in was frustrating though after the 1st heat cycle it died and it wouldn't start again and sounded like it blew a ring. Put in more oil in the bottom end, fiddled with a bunch of **** and she fired right up! Second heat cycle and first easy ride also went really good and I was very happy with how it turned out after I changed the oil and rode er like I stole er!! Just need my new chain and sprockets so it doesn't skip like it does and it will be a pretty sweet beater! Only problems is that it has some trouble ideling and the clutch is sticky sometimes, 5th gear can't top out because the clutch is engaging a little bit. We'll see though maybe it will work itself out who knows, still a good day and a great experiance seeing my first real bike rebuild that I did 100% on my own. :D

Some sick garage salein this weekend! Brand new set of 22x10-10 Dunlop KT705 tires for 5 bucks! These things literally look like they were drove around the block once then taken off again! 50 pairs of work socks and a clothes hamper for 5 bucks, and a 5 foot long irwin quick clamp for another 5, lumber jack coat for a buck, and a sweet sweater for 25 cents. Probably a lot more but I don't really remember, amazing deals out there though.

waiting for the weekend to drive it some more :D it has pretty much taken up the void of sellin my bike and is a much more enjoyable time when driving that. i can stay warm and dont have to worry about people pulling out in front of me or anything in the h2.

belts, hoses, plugs, wires, and filter on the h2

im all done after that :D

I've been making progressive house music/rap beats for over a year. The people who made the program (Dub Turbo) put up $5000 for a contest to who can make the best track. $500/month, 9 months, the last month is $1000. There are some rules like if you win you can't submit for another 2 or 3 months unless it's the last month. I'm the only one in the contest and it started a little over a month ago lol, they won't choose a winner which is stupid. I won. I just finished my second months entry, here she be in 1080 HD.

I went to Sand Del Lee for my first time near Ottawa, Ontario this weekend.. half the track was too soft so we ran the front half (about a 1 min. lap time cut down from 2 mins)

I was the ONLY quad there (25+bikes).. talk about sticking out like a sore thumb. But there were no 'Bros' on site. My buddy made one training wheel comment but I said "shut it until you pass me" haha.

A few guys came over and talked to me about quad racing as they hardly ever see quads there. There was one guy that was clearly faster than me out there on a yz250. He's a Pro-Am rider though, but he gave me props too afterwards. He was throwing huge whips off of a 50' table that had a 35' run into it out of a 180 degree corner, he was the only one who could clear it..

My last lap I overshot the finishline stepdown (about 45') and landed flat off of an 8' kicker. It goes right into a hairpin corner, half way through the corner I realized I lost all movement in my clutch hand from the impact of the landing, haha

There was a guy there taking pics all day, but I have yet to track him down for them. But I earned us quad guys some respect at least :p

Do, we weren't able to get out to the trails over the weekend. Spent all day getting Averys new motor in, then working on the peg mounts for his ac nerfs. It's looking like I'm going to have to make some completely new arms for him, because if we run 18" fronts, they're going to scrub the nerfs. The 10" fronts come close. May just say screw it, and extend the whole front section of frame by 3-4 inches so we have good clearance and wheelbase.

At least its up and running. The 110 Lifan I bought for this bike is actually a lot smoother than the one I just bought a couple months ago for Ethans ride. Both are standard pattern 4 speed.

I'll be finishing .up all of the mock and fab on the LTR this week, and should have the frame cleaned and painted by the end of the weekend. My new Peps should be here around Friday or so, then I still have to move the upper mounts. They are off an 89, 15.25 eye to eye. Mines an 86- 12.25 eye to eye. We'll see how I get this one figured out. LOL

nice! I was there last year but I was just screwing around on the raptor... I couldn't jump cuz I didn't have my elka's on....just some ****ty works shocks...its a fun track though

Yah it is a really fun track, intimidating at first but after a few half throttle laps I was WOT. That was my first time hitting ski jumps, kind of a leap of faith the first time you really pin it.

I talked to the owners and they are going to try and hold a Quad race next year. They said if they get 20 memberships they will start to hold regular events for the quads again. So let anyone you know in the area about it Tommy, we should organize a practice day this summer and get as many quads out as possible.

Got my frame done, and primed, then base coated. Motor and exhaust are done. Now, just have the arms to strip and paint, then some cleaning, and other fun stuff on the swinger. With any luck, I should be able to get the motor back in, and turn it back into a roller by the end of tomorrow. :macho

got out on the 400 today for about 80 miles. it was a decent day, rained slightly, was 85 degrees, and 100% humidity till we were a few miles from lake superior. then it cooled off fast haha

felt good to get out and put some miles on, i havent been on a good ride for a year. i was hurt most of the summer last year.

1980 avg salary for a blue collar and or lower professional work was about 35g at its highest, most made 20-25k. HOWEVER cars for example, say a camaro or whatever was only 8g maybe? A really nice house was what 120k? In 1985 my mom worked as a medical biller and made 28k take home.

Inflation has come, but our salaries really havent changed accordingly. Now that same camaro is 40g + and we still only make 20-35k on avg..

major issue. grinds my gears when my old man pushes me moving out. when he was my age food, fuel, rents, everything was a fraction of what it costs now. and he made more than i do now. i work my *** off and its hard for me to survive right now. its a pretty ****ty feeling knowing its not going to get any better

Exactly. my parents are trying to push me out. I cant find a real job that pays well, cant afford to live even close to my current home due to prices, damn insurance sucks and things are just to costly.

I honestly feel like im gonna be stuck at home till Im 35 at this rate unless I can finish school and get a real job. Im 3/4 the way done but cant afford to go more than 9 creds/semester due to cost

Oh yah! I've wanted to for a while.. I almost did the swap last fall, but couldn't find a good price on the engine.. This has the complete 01 ignition to that's worth a chunk of change to TRX250R owners as well if I decide to flip it.

Having a 450r and 250r really spoiled my appreciation for the EX haha.. I'm going to unload my 426ex engine/carb/electrical/big gun pipe as a package for 800-1000 to get the ball moving so I have some money to spend on parts I need.

Plans are to widen it out and get better suspension too.

Not sure when I'll have the time though, I have my 250 in the shop as well as our Recon 250 in pieces.. :( I just like giving myself more work, lol.
