Atv riders,

I searched the site for "truck pics" and never really saw one specific thread to show off your trucks.

Every, quad rider needs a good truck to haul his toys.

Post them up

And if there is another link for a "Post your truck pics" then i'll delete this.

So, I will get updated pics of mine later today

I couldn't find any new pics of the Chevy, had to rely on old pic from 5 years ago. It still sits in the same condition but now has a chrome front bumper, hasn't been out of the poll barn in almost two years :(

BTW, its an 89 Chevy with 98 GMC metal

I just used the Dupli-Color spray on stuff that comes in a can for my rockers:

Holding up well after about 10k and using the pressure washer on it.

I now right and Iam putting 38.5-39.5s on it soon as I get the money up. It will be 2-3 more inches higher. Thats why Iam looking for a trailer and I have to wait till I get a trailer to find out how much of a drop hitch I need.

just a suggestion but if i were you i would dump that bullydog chip and get some custom tunes from t wildman or dptuner.

I had a bdog chip in my powerstroke and when i went to custom tunes from jody at dptuner it was like night and day!

more pics/specs on the ranger. 2wd or 4wd? Looks 2wd judging by the beams. What link suspension are you running out back? I'm assuming 4 link seeing that it is back halved.

That titan wouldn't happen to be the same as this one?

are those dynatrac 60's in the titan?

My brother is in the process of doing a 2 1/2 ton rockwell swap in his ranger. Would've been done sooner, but he's going back to college for 2 more years to get an electrical engineering degree, so it's put on hold.

Once I'm out of college I have plans for my ranger. I'd like to keep my 4wd, so I'll be looking at cut & turned beams from camburg with their front end, don't know if I want to go with a 4 link route or not. It'd be nice to have the extra travel, but I may just go with a deaver pack and cut out the wheel wells for new shocks. I was going to order glass fenders and one piece clip, but I need an engine cage to mount the front clip properly. There are ways of half assing it, but I'd rather have the engine cage. What motor are you running the ranger? 4.0?

Injectors - $2K
Turbo - $3.5K

Nitrous $ less than 900 and nitrous will make me faster than the turbo and sticks.

The internals will hold that. Do some research.

yes those are dyna track 60, both the super duty and the titan, and both have rear steer!

as for the ranger, the grey has an 3.0l and the red has a 2.3l, the 3.0 is stock, the 2.3l is built by esslinger, has about 300 horse for a 4 banger, as for deaver to a 4 link, if you have the money do a 4 link, if not go with deavers! i have built a 74 blazer for rock crawling with deavs, and it was like it was four linked, deavs are extremly nice!

and for half assing it, i have done so much fix it work. people shouldnt take on projects if they dont know how to do it right, i have fixed so many new lifted trucks, chevys and gmc, are **** if you buy them from the factory lifted! in two years i have ripped off over 100 brand new lift kits with less then 20,000 miles on the truck and have replaced them.

oh I know the feeling. I help a lot of my buddy's with factory lifts as well. The one shop here does procomp lifts, but the install work is so ****ty it's not even funny. I personally would rather do the work myself. The last lift that I did was on a 04 ram. That was rather involved.

I would like to 4 link my ranger, but I'm still up in the air. This would not take place until I'm out of college, have another truck, and have my own bender. I hate borrowing stuff. I have access to a nice one, but I'd rather have my own and be able to work on my own time limits. The deavers are nice. A buddy of mine has them in his S10 and they were awesome. For the time being to get my lifted ranger to ride a little better, I'm going to swap to a 63'' silverado leaf pack out back. Rides 1000 times better than my superlift and will retain my 6'' lift in the spring. Yah I'm really trying to push my brother to get his rockwells done, but he just bought a bronco II and is in the process of lowering that and having a street truck. It ran a 12.7 so it's a start. He has too many projects haha, but the rockwells will atleast be torn apart, resealed, and good to go. It's the steering, wheels, and suspension that suck up time and money.

I hope you mean bio-diesel... otherwise there is no reason to mix anything...

I'm getting a vegistroke as soon as I sell my quad!

My truck will hold fine to nitrous. In fact I plan on running it right off the bottle with no jets. There are numerous people doing this on 6.0's They're not 7.3's here... haha.

Nitrous is cheap and easy, and will add a ton of power when I need it. I will be able to not use it if I want to as well so I can still tow, unlike if I went big injectors and turbo, towing would go out the window as well as daily drivability. I need mine to be reliable and need to drive it every day. Once you start doing injectors and turbo on the 6.0's the reliability seems iffy. Do some MORE research! haha

Your right their 6.0's not 7.3's...hes confused because you can put a turbo and injectors and nitrous on a 7.3 that already has 500k miles and you can put another 500k on driving it everyday without a problem haha.

you guys should fill those nitrous bottles outside, the fumes must be gettin to ya if you think nitrous is a reliable way to get power outta a 6.0L

There is nothing about a stock interal 6.0 that is reliable.

I've been through three at work and between friends
1 had 36,000 miles head gasket
2 had 31,000 miles head gasket wiring harness
3 had 42,000 miles turbo head gasket and harness

thanks about the paint thing, I'm very proud of that primer coat. We are sanding the body down this winter for it's final paint scheme. It's been in dropjaw mag, street truck, and peterson's 4x4. all in only a primer coat with a few hours airbrush

Nitrous is cheap and easy, and will add a ton of power when I need it. yes bio-diesel..look man i have no beef with other diesel gurus so please don't act like a hard ***.....i know ALOT about diesels... im about to go to diesel/high performance engine building school as well...and ummmm 7.3 is one of the most reliable diesel engines out there...untill mid 01 when they changed the rods in the 7.3...runin nos on a internal stock 6.0 means nothing but the life of the engine being shortend alot.... there is a reason nitrous is cheap and easy......these engines are not cheap as you should know..they produce alot of power with just a tuner but they also aren't made to push nitrous for long.....but if you want a spare 6.0 i got one...hd head studds, heads just redone, and a couple small other stuff..turbo and all 3k...

Didn't mean anything offensive. I just know what the 6.0 will handle, which isn't much til the studs are in. The 7.3 is one of the most reliable...stock. Takes a lot of money on a 7.3 to get it to the power of just a tuned 6.0. Then getting it moving is a whole other project. Adding any power generally means the life is shortened. Like I said though, it's not something I plan on using every day, just for trips at the track. You're right these engines are the opposite of cheap to build. I know quite a few guys running spray on 6.0s with no issues. In fact its much preferred over propane. Water meth wont add the power the spray does either. Sorry no need for a spare motor, mines still under warranty hehe. How's your bio operation going? Maybe shoot me a PM or soemthing so we dont clutter this up anymore?

I never said it was "reliable" but it isn't any worse than big injectors and a turbo, but it is a heck of a lot cheaper. Plus I dont have to use nitrous everyday, just when I want to or need to, where as if I did injectors and a turbo, that's on there for good, forget about towing anything.

The stock internals are very reliable. The heads and gaskets are not what I would consider internals, and I dont think any other motor builder would either.

Dont get me wrong the 6.0's have their problems, this I know. Like I said, mine is going in sometime this month for headstuds and fresh gaskets so no more worries about lifting the heads ( my heads are already lifted)

The turbos are junk from the factory. No one likes the VGT turbos. The worst thing for them though is letting them sit for any amount of time (they will start rusting inside after 3 or 4 days!)

I'm willing to be nearly every 6.0 on the road has had the issues you're seeing. They can be made to be reliable though, ditch the EGR cooler and get studs, and they're pretty solid motors.

Must be nice to able to ask mom and dad for a new truck...

That little bit of scratching is not enough to say you NEED a new truck. The truck I had before I got my F100, had NO paint on the top of the cab, the passenger door and it was 3 different colors.

As long as it gets you from A to B, dont complain. And if tires cost to much new, go to a tire store and get 4 used ones. They're nice and cheap;)

Thanks man. Front end is pretty much done for the most part. The truck is a 94 mazda with an 02 ford edge front end molded in. Full stock floor body drop, Z'd frame, bags, built 302, c4 trans, built 8.8 rear, custom made bed, tons of fab work, all sheet metal(not some bondo queen), and so on.......

There are actually some brackets atatched underneath the front fenders that i need to remove. But before so i need to either cut or replace the front bumper. The brackets hold the truck off the ground when aired out right now, otherwise with the body drop it will crush the front bumper(unfortunetly been there and done that:( )

Hey whats up. In the previous years ford and mazda ranger a b series trucks were very similiar trucks. Most of the items were interchangable.

My "POS":eek2: truck has the mazda main cab shell, but everything else was changed. It has the edge front fenders that were hand rolled and flared, edge hood, and bumper. The rear bed all custom sheet metal with hand rolled raised flames in the inner sides also. Alot of work was put into it. All hand built also. But i guess i wasted my time since its a "POS"?

Hey whats up? The truck was originally being built for show only, but now most of the way done with the truck im deciding to get it on the street hopefully. The complete dash and everything that delt with it was completely removed and a custom full metal rolled dash was welded in. In doing so for a clean smooth look no gauges were installed. Im still up in the air if ill put a speedometer in it mounted somewhere else or not. Its pretty easy to just your speed by RPM and what gear your in though. Im gonna install all the other gauges (oil press., fuel press., water temp, and trans temp) in a remote location but plan on having them setup with temp and press. switches that go to warning led lights that will come on if theres an issue with any of the temps or pressures.

Thank you

Justin ... don't even bother with the haters . Most of them think "custom work" to their vehicles includes adding a set of tires and rims and a few chrome accessories.

Being a big fan of custom work , I can see that you have MANY hours of hard work put into this truck .... and seeing as you've done the sheetmetal work yourself ..... big Thumbs Up from me. Keep up the good work.

Thanks man. Although i cant take 100% of the credit on all the sheet metal work. Some of it was done by a close friends father, the man i amazing when it comes to working with metal.

Im trying to get all my projects done before the baby gets here, but its not looking like its gonna happen as of now. I actually went back to working for my old company today to add to everything lol. So time is getting Very scarce. Ive got 3 or 4 more quads im gonna put together now to have around the shop and some other things, but the truck is def high up on the get done list.

Im tossing around the idea of getting the body work 100% done and having it painted(also thinking of trying it myself, but not so sure of that yet) so the major things are done for now and ill be able to tinker with the small things here and there over time.

Cars can go through fields. What's your point? To correct you on your other statement, I believe the title of the thread is "show of your trucks here." Not, it's towing rigs only! Another typical chevy owner that is jealous.

What bugs me the most is the paint and rear bumper. When I painted it, I was still learning so I made mistakes. I didn't use primer or clear so its chipping.
And rear bumper, thats just fugly. I'm thinking about getting a Fiberglass Roll Pan http://www.stylintrucks.com/sn.aspx?category%7ccategory_root%7c-25=Exterior&category%7ccat_-25%7c226=Roll+Pans
But other than that its just fine.
