The winery is owned by Doug Filipponi, Rob Rossi and Karl Wittstrom, who was also the guide for our tour of the winery and ranch where we would be doing our test ride of the Kawasaki Mule Pro FXT.

The Margarita Vineyard is where the grapes are grown for the Ancient Peaks Winery |
The vineyard is unique as it is situated at the base of several mountains and fault line areas. The fault lines and seismic activity over thousands of years has contributed to five distinct soil zones the winery uses for growing; ancient sea bed, sedimentary, shale, volcanic and granitic.

The
vineyard's unique location gives winery
ideal soil conditions for growing grapes |
Since the vineyard is located close to the Pacific Ocean, the climate is mild and we saw a variety of weather during our trip. There was a mixture of fog, light drizzle and sunshine, which produced rainbows and made for a very unique ride and kept dust to a minimum.

A
mixture of fog, light drizzle and sunshine
made our test drive even more unique since
was only the second time it has rained
since March |
The Kawasaki Mule comes with an adjustable bed that can be lengthened or shortened, which came in quite handy, as we started our tour by loading up some hay bales in the back of our Mule and headed out to the ranch area of the facility where they raise beef cattle.

We
loaded in several bales of hay to haul
out to the cattle on the ranch & they
hay bales fit perfectly in the bed, but
the Mule Pro FXT bed can also be quickly
expanded if more room is required, which
is a nice feature |
