Adelanto, CA - With the end
of the season fast approaching Round # 8 of the
World Offroad Racing Championship Series rolled
into Adelanto, California to Racetown 395 for
the second to last round.
Racetown is synonymous with gnarly sand whoops
that blow shocks and wear riders out. The motto
for the weekend with most riders was "coming
in hot". The track crew was trying to stay
ahead of the dust with excessive amounts of water
but this in turn made for a slip and slide coming
into corners.

The flag dropped on Production A and fourteen riders
were off around the hairpin turn after the start.
Grant Mitchell rounded the turn first and was credited
with the hole shot. Keith Johnson would take the
lead before entering the off road section of the
track. Shortly after entering the off road Johnson
would hit a puddle causing him to slide through
the turn instead of around it! The lead would change
a handful of times through out the race between
Garrin Fuller , Keith Johnson , and Chase Thomas
. Garrin Fuller would lead the first lap, Keith
Johnson would lead the second lap. Chase Thomas
would overtake Johnson with Collins Webster right
behind, putting Johnson in third.

D.J. Noerr put a charge on the last lap of the race.
Coming through the motocross section Noerr would
be right on Johnson’s back bumper. Heading
into the last straight away Noerr was drag racing
Johnson for third position. Heading into the last
turn Noerr came in a little too hot, and blew the
corner. Johnson made the turn and claimed the third
position behind Chase Thomas in first and Collins
Webster . These positions were crucial to the point
standings. Keith Johnson and D.J. Noerr came into
this round tied for first place. Both riders thought
this round would break the tie so they raced for
every position. After all was said and done for
Production A at this round Johnson and Noerr are
still tied for first with Collins Webster in third
place going into the last round at Speedworld MX
Park in Surprise, Arizona.
