Lempster, NH - The NEATV-MX
Championship Series headed North to Jolly Roger
Motorsports Park in East Lempster, NH this past
weekend for round two of the 12 round series.
We saw hot, humid weather the entire weekend,
but three Can-Am DS450 racers kept their cool
and took four out of the six possible spots on
the podiums. BCS Performance’s Cody Miller
claimed wins in both the Pro and Pro-Am motos.
Followed by RP Evolution’s Richard Pelchat
and Motoworks’ Joe Haavisto
The weather was hot and sticky for the weekend
but it was a great relief compared the soggy
conditions at Round One in New York. People
seemed to be in good spirits, prepping their
machines and trying to stay cool throughout
the day.

You
could easily tell it was Spring time in
New England as the flowers were blooming
and fans were in good spirits for the
hot weather, and hot action on the race

Shortly after Sunday’s Riders Meeting,
there was a Memorial Lap held for the passing
of two great people in the NEATVMX community,
Carol Dupont, and Mark Ruel. Carol was a huge
supporter of the NEATV youth classes and could
always be seen at the track cheering them on,
she lost her battle with cancer on March 25,
2010. Mark was the type of person to always
help out then you needed it or cheer you up
or congratulate you after a race. Tragically,
Mark lost his life May 25, 2010 in an accident
at Walden MX Park at round one of the series.
The entire cement starting gate, staging area,
and lower pits were filled with riders participating
in the event. The banks of Jolly were filled
with spectators and fans watching this event
and as one may expect, there was not a dry eye
in sight. It was a truly special occurrence
and well appreciated by all.

In Pro Moto one , Jason Connell on his DASA
powered Honda TRX450R blistered off the line
and snagged the Pro holeshot and lead the furious
pack up through the hilly sections of Jolly
Roger. Trailing Connell through the first turn
though was the Cody Miller on his BCS Performance
DS450 and Canadian racer Richard Pelchat on
his RP Evolution DS450. Following the top three
were Michael Pilotte on his DRT KTM and Joe
Haavisto on his Motoworks Can-Am.
