The Pro Motos were lightning quick with lots
of action from the front of the pack, all the
way to the back. Pro-Am was sure to be as exciting,
if not more exciting, with over 17 entries and
plenty of new young talent to mix it up. Cody
Miller was out for gold again as he swept the
Pro-Am overall with a 2-1 finish over Richard
Pelchat (1-2) and Joe Haavisto (4-3)
Pro-Am Moto one holeshot went to the red-rider,
Jason Connell once again aboard his Walsh Honda
450R. Following him closely was Pelchat, Miller,
Haavisto and Plante.

Jason Connell grabbed his second holeshot
of the day on his DASA TRX450R ATV, but
would later fall victim to #46 Richard
Pelchat & #22 Cody Miller as he had
to settle for a respectable third place |

Richard Pelchat was able to hold off
Cody Miller for Pro-Am moto one all
the way to the checkered flag

Richard Pelchat wasted no time working his way
past Connell on the first lap and began trying
to put time on the rest of the field. And that
he did, as he held onto first place for the rest
of the six lapper.“I feel like this is my
rebound after bad luck in the pro moto, I’m
good to go now and was just holding my line as
best as I could. I could feel Miller behind me
but we rode a clean race and finished in good
positions.” said Pelchat.
Cody Miller was reeling in Pelchat and felt
that if it were another eighth lap moto, he
could have made a pass attempt for first place.
At any rate, Miller was on fire in the first
Pro-Am moto and was looking hungry for another
win.
Connell held onto third place the rest of the
first moto despite being pressure by Joe Haavisto
and Jasmin Plante who finished the race fourth
and fifth respectively.

Jason Connell once again managed to hold
off the #1 Joe Haavisto for the 3rd spot |
#8
Michael Pilotte would finish in 6th place
behind #91 Jasin Plante |
Michael Pilotte finished in a respectable sixth
place after being less than satisfied with the
rock filled track conditions.
Taking the overall and the Pro-Am moto two
holeshot was Cody Miller. Miller, Pelchat, and
Plante were running 1-2-3 for the first two
laps until Plante’s battery terminal wires
came loose and the bike stalled, allowing Michael
Pilotte and Joe Haavisto to slip into third
and fourth place on lap three. By lap four,
they switched positions with Haavisto rounding
out the top three and Pilotte slipping back
to fourth place.

Cody Miller barely edges out #46 Richard
Pelchat for the Pro-Am Moto Two Holeshot,
followed by #8 Michael Pilotte, #91 Jasmine
Plante, & #26 Vinny Mofford |
Second place went to Pelchat who put on his
fourth impressive performance of the day and
continued to put the pressure on Miller for
the lead. The heat and humidity may have been
a deciding factor for the Canadian racer as
he allowed Miller to gain a 3.5 second lead.
Either way, the pair was pulling away from the
rest of the pack as they battled with eachother.
Joe Haavisto locked in the third place position
for moto two and the overall. This award did
not come without a tight battle though. Joe
fought to get around Michael Pilotte and eventually
did so on lap four with only two left to go.
Jason Connell rounded out the top five for Pro-Am
moto two and finished 4th overall on the day.
