GBC Heartland Challenge 10 Hour Pro ATV Endurance Race Report

After the youth awards ceremony wrapped up it was time for the main 10 hour ATV enduracne race, and before the start of the race GBC announced several new tires to be relased including the DOT approved Afterburn tire along with the Race Rex XC ATV tire.

After the ATV riders meeting, GBC Motorsports announced two new exciting products with the release of the GBC Afterburn DOT approved UTV / ATV tire with a tread design that will work great on & offroad. Also, GBC unveiled their all new Race Rex XC ATV tire, which attracted plenty of attention from the racers.

Teams lined up and were ready to go for the Lemans start, and as the signal was given, it would be the Pro GBC/Pro Armor team of Jeff Pickens and Jarrod McClure, with Pickens piloting, that would take the overall holeshot.

The non-stop 10 Hour ATV endurance race started with a Lemans start, which had over 50 racers sprinting over 30 feet to their parked ATVs, and it was GBC's Jeff Pickens grabbing the Pro ATV Holeshot, but the #150 C Class Team of Pro Fab ATV Racing was the 1st ATV to leave the line

From there, the battle was on as the Pro ATV lead would change several times over the first five hours of the race before the Dirt Works Motorsports team of Duane Johnson, Mike Burrows and Kyle Martin would take the lead and make it stick to take the Pro ATV and the overall win.

The #4 Dirt Works Motorsports Team may have claimed the win, but it didn't come easy as they swapped positions with both #3 Engineering & #2 GBC Pro Armor Team nearly 10 times throughout the race as their was 10 Different Pro ATV lead changes throughout the 10 hour race, which kept it an extremely exciting race to watch even though there were only three Pro ATV teams chasing after the $6,000 1st Place Prize from GBC
