"I bought this 400ex bone stock 3 years ago . It was clear in my mind that I was going to build a nice bike even if I was not racing at this time. I decided to race the Quebec CMRC in 2004 so even if the 400ex was a good machine , it was time for major improvements motor and also suspension wise. I already had the DMC pipe and KN filter and decided to rebuild the motor with a 406cc piston from wiseco and a splash'n dirt cam setup consisting of their race cam , kibblewhite springs and hardened rockers. I bought Burgard +2 a-arms and elka shocks after reading great comments about them on this site. For the rear end I went with RPM +4 race hub axle and a RAD twinrow carrier and ITP beadlocks. I found a pretty good setting for the rear shock so an aftermarket unit was not in my plans for 2004. Finishing touches were added for the body and also a steering dampner and 4 good tires for MX racing to top it off.

I also plan on using a Blingstar front bumper for my project 450r this spring because im just tired of the old design bumpers!
