Florida (3/21/2014) - Josh Upperman is a well known name in the Pro ATV Motocross Racing Series. With his smoothing riding style and ability to get of the gate quickly, you can usually count on Josh Upperman to be out front in anygiven race.
We had a chance to catch up with this fast racer down in Florida to talk to him about his winter training, and his 2014 race program.
ATVriders.com:
What you’ve been up to this winter?
Josh Upperman: This Winter, I’ve been down in Florida staying at Tim Farr’s house. He’s been helping me out and we’ve been training pretty hard, and basically the whole off season, I haven’t let up. I’m definitely ready for this season, and I want to stand out and make a point this year, and go for that championship.
ATVriders.com:
How is your race program, is it much different than last year?
Josh Upperman: For the most part it’s basically the same as the previous year, and the top sponsors helping me out are obviously Baldwin Motorsports, PEP suspension, Maxxis Tires, Makson Construction, and JB Racing.

Josh Upperman will once again be racing on a Baldwin Motorsports powered Honda 450R backed by PEP, Maxxis, Makson Construction, JB Racing & many more |
ATVriders.com: What do you think about the new format with the fifteen minute plus two laps?
Josh Upperman:
The new format is going to be interesting. It might help out to my advantage a little bit, but basically it’s going to be a lot more tighter racing and a lot more bumping and grinding I think. It’s going to be interesting, so we’ll see.

Josh Upperman has been training at former Pro ATV Motocross Racer Tim Farr's house in Florida to prepare for the 2014 racing season |
ATVriders.com: You are great out of the gate and probably have more holeshots than anyone else the past couple of years, so the shorter racers should really help you if get out front early.
Josh Upperman:
It’s definitely going to work out to my advantage a little I think. It all depends you know, fifteen minutes plus two laps, everyone is going to be going hard and it’s going to be basically what they call a “dash-for-cash” and that’s what it is.

Josh Upperman is known for getting out of the gate quickly & grabbing the Holeshot |
ATVriders.com: The season is starting up, and how do you feel about being ready with it coming here in just a couple of weeks?
Josh Upperman:You know, honestly I feel strong, I feel healthy, I feel ready. Tim and I have been working on the shocks and I’ve got a good bike setup, I’m ready to go to Aonia and get a number one.
