Interview:
Jeremy Lawson - Can-Am / Epic Racing Pro ATV
Motocross
That
has to be pretty encouraging for you if you
are already putting in faster lap time than
you were on your Honda.
It corners better than my Honda did and for
me that’s where the race is won; in
the corners.

How
has it been working with Epic?
Epic has been awesome. If I need parts or
anything I just call them up and they get
them to me the next day. I’m really
excited about it. They have been behind me
100%.
How
does the power of the Can-Am DS450 compare
to that of your Honda TRX 450R?
The power is right there. It’s a different
kind of power band. It’s more of a mid
to top end power range and once it gets opened
up its rolling! It seems to be working to
my advantage. It helps me to charge into the
corners harder and I like that.
Is
it pretty easy to maneuver in the air?
It’s pretty light with the new frame
and it flexes really good. That’s one
of the main goals they (Can-Am) were going
for.
There
have been rumors on the Internet that their
frames have been breaking, but that doesn’t
seem to be true…
I haven’t had any problems with it.
I’ve heard the rumors going around,
but I haven’t any problem with the frame.
Are
you surprised that the frame is holding up so
well considering that it is riveted?
I looked at it and thought it would be a good
thing, and I was right. It’s didn’t
really surprise me.
Are
you going to be focusing on the AMA Pro ATV
Motocross National Series or the WPSA Powersport
ATV Tour for the ’08 season?
Our plan is to try and run them both. We’ll
be starting out with the AMA Pro ATV Nationals
and then the WPSA.
You
looked great out on the track today on your
new Can-Am, we wish you the best of luck for
the up coming season!
Thank you!
