Interview:
Bryan Baker - Factory Polaris GNCC Pro ATV Racer
:::Continued:::
What
made you decide to switch back to the Pro Class in
2005 on the Honda TRX450R?
Pro was the class that I prefer to race and my local
dealer made me a very good offer on a Honda.

Over
the years, you have become well known for racing with
green colored plastic (even when you were not on a
Kawasaki). Why did you decide to do this?
I like to be different and that color of
green is highly visible in the woods when covered
in mud for my friends and family to keep track of
my position.
I
assume that you will not be racing with green plastic
this year?
Yes, this year I will race a black Polaris Outlaw
KTM 525
There
were rumors last year that you got to test the new
Kawasaki KFX450. Can you comment on that?
Yes, I did get that opportunity and it seemed like
it will be a great machine.
Besides
the GNCC series, what other series or major events
have you
raced in?
Missouri Hare Scrambles Series, OMA Nationals, 12
Hours of ATV America and the Hillbilly Grand Prix

Congratulations
on your Polaris factory deal. How did the Polaris
deal come about?
I contacted them last fall and told them that I was
interested. Then at the end of January 2007 they called
me and we worked out an agreement.
How
much time do you have on Polaris Outlaw? What are
your initial thoughts on your new quad?
Only about 8 hours of seat time but it seams like
an awesome quad with a strong motor, and I like the
way it handles.
You
raced on a Honda TRX450R that past 2 seasons. How
does the Polaris Outlaw compare?
It is still too early to tell but it seems like a
really great machine.
What
modifications, if any, do you plan on making to Outlaw
in preparation for racing in the GNCC Pro Class?
Just the typical mods like wheels, tires, exhaust,
shocks, handle bars and a steering dampener.
What
have you been doing over the winter to prepare for
the start of the 2007 GNCC Season?
Eating healthy with some exercise and as much seat
time as I can squeeze in with a 50 hour a week full
time job and watching the kids until 6:30 pm when
Autumn (Bryan's wife) gets home.
What
are your goals for the 2007 GNCC season?
To remain in the top 10 overall

Besides
the support you are getting from Polaris, what other
sponsors do you have for the 2007 season?
GBC tires, Elka, K&K, Douglas Wheel, IMS, HMF,
Klotz, FAST, Scott, Power Madd, PRM, Moose, Outerwears,
ROX, Precision Steering Dampeners
Is
there anyone else that you would like to thank?
First and foremost God, and then my brother and mechanic
since day one Darren, and Autumn, Kolby and Zachary
Thank
you very much for your time and good luck this year.
