Interview:
Bryan Cook - FRE / KTM GNCC Pro XC1 ATV Racer
- Continued
ATVriders.com:
You took the win at round three last season,
was that one different for you than your previous
win in 2008?
Bryan Cook:
I was really excited. Winning at Steele Creek
was kind of special for me because it was
close to home and I had a lot of friends and
family there.

After
6 years of racing as a Pro ATV Privateer,
finally for 2010, Bryan Cook earned
a ride with the FRE / KTM GNCC Race
Team, which couldn't have come at a
better time for this brick mason with
a passion for racing |
ATVriders.com:
Now for this season, you have your first factory
support deal with KTM. How is that going for
you so far?
Bryan Cook:
It’s been awesome! It’s been an
easy change for me to make so far. Tim (Farr)
is a really cool guy and he’s very knowledgeable.
The whole team is really great to work with.

Bryan
Cook has been flying down to the Florida
over the winter to train with Tim
Farr in the Tampa area
|
ATVriders.com:
How do you like the KTM compared to you Honda?
Bryan Cook:
It’s by leaps and bounds better than
my Honda last year. It’s been very easy
for me to get used to it.
ATVriders.com:
Do you feel that being part of the KTM team
will make a big difference for you this season?
Bryan Cook:
Yes I do. If I was still riding as a privateer,
I would be out in the shop right now wrenching
on the bike, trying to get ready for Florida,
but I don’t have to worry about that
now. The team takes care of the bikes and
I get to devote more time concentrating on
my training.

Bryan
& Bonnie Cook have been married
for 4 years now & this past winter
they added a new addition to the family
with Aimee Lynn Cook born on 11/20/2009

ATVriders.com:
What do you like to do in your spare time besides
riding?
Bryan Cook:
I like playing golf, hanging out with friends,
video games, a little fishing and most recently,
playing with my daughter Aimee.
ATVriders.com:
How do you like being a dad so far?
Bryan Cook:
It’s a big change, but I’m really
excited about being a dad and I couldn’t
be happier!
ATVriders.com:
Will your family be going to the races with
you this season?
Bryan Cook:
Yes, my family is very supportive and they
travel to the races with me.
ATVriders.com:
You’re dad Doug has been a big part
of your program, will he be helping you again
this season?
Bryan Cook:
Yes, he will be helping me again as a mechanic.
ATVriders.com:
What’s your outlook on the competition
this season?
Bryan Cook:
It’s going to be intense! I figure that
it’s going to be stepped up with Bill
(Ballance) coming back and he’s pretty
worked up about getting that #1 plate back.
I think there’s going to be a lot of
competition with Chris Borich, Taylor Kiser
and Adam McGill. They are all on top of their
game and are hard to beat.

The first

& Bryan Cook is more prepared
than ever, so it should be exciting
to see how he finishes
|
ATVriders.com:
With that said, what are your goals for the
2010 GNCC season?
Bryan Cook:
Well, my number one goal is to take the championship,
but if I get top three at the end of the season,
I’ll be pretty happy. I plan to be on
the podium as much as possible and stay consistent
to achieve that.
ATVriders.com:
What are your thoughts on round one coming
up in Florida?
Bryan Cook:
I’m excited and ready to go!
ATVriders.com:
Bryan, it’s been a pleasure talking
to you and we wish you the best of luck for
this season!
Bryan Cook:
Thank you very much!
