Even
making adjustments to the chain on the
Suzuki LTR450 is simple because the LTR
features round style bearing carrier |
Even adjusting the chain is simple as the LTR-450
features the round style bearing carrier and subsequent
adjustment. There are some features that often
go unnoticed, such as the rubber bushing (aftermarket
inspired) steering stem. While not a full after
market anti-vibe, it’s about as close as
you can get and it does help cut felt vibration.
Even the stock handle bars are comfortable however
the grips are on the hard side.
Now we usually dive right into a new model after
the initial testing for the review but we haven’t
really had the ambition to change a lot on this
ATV. It’s not perfect for everyone or every
type of riding but its close enough that for right
now we can leave it as is and have fun on it.
In the 4 months we have had the quad, we haven’t
had a single issue nor had any failures of any
type with the exception of breaking a heel guard
and that was attributed to the rider not to a
faulty part.

The
exhaust on the Suzuki LTR450 is mounted
in the center unlike other sport ATV models,
which are typically mounted on the side
of the subframe |
Plastic
skid heal guards work great for mud proctection,
but for more aggressive riding, a set
of nerf bars would be a great addition
for improved safety |
We did add some nerf bars from Suzuki for some
added rider protection which fit great and so
far have done their job with no cracking or
breakage. The stock handle bars were also recently
swapped out due to rider preference. As you
can see, you don’t get much more stock
then what we have here and all it takes is a
tweak here or there to get even more out of
the Suzuki LTR450.
