The RZR XP 900 has a completely new high strength steel frame that utilized dual a-arms up front and an industry first three link trailing arm rear suspension. With the capabilities of this new XP 900 Polaris knew a high performance electrical system would be required, so the stator is capable of producing an industry leading 750 watts of power at 5000 rpm and 500 watts at idle. Polaris has also redesigned the head lights to utilize high performance low wattage LED bulbs that feature a high and low beam setting, which provide a more natural white light for improved visibility after dark

Polaris also obviously made ease of maintenance a priority on the RZR XP 900 compared to previous RZR models. The oil level and the air filter are easily accessible through an access panel in the rear bed. The CVT and engine air inlets are also located high up in the chassis and provide good water protection. Air filtration is provide by a large flat panel paper media filter that has 90 percent more surface area than the filter used in the RZR 800.
