The target market for these Rangers makes it
very likely they will be used by consumers with
small acreages, municipalities in city parks
or in environmentally sensitive areas. In an
effort to increase their usefulness in these
areas, Polaris equipped both of them with Versa
Trac Turf Mode. With the simple flip of a switch
the rear differential can be unlocked allowing
the rear wheel to spin at different speeds lessening
the damage done to soft terrain like grass,
which is perfect for riding around the yard
or doing lawn maintenance with the Ranger.

The
Polaris Ranger 400 dash (above left)
is fairly simple with the ignition key,
hour meter, choke, handle shifter along
with an AWD & 2WD switch, and the
Ranger EV (above right) is fairly similar
with a few changes. the shifter is replaced
with a brake lever and ofcourse their
isn't a choke, but there are several
more switches with high & low range,
forward & reverse, 3 way drive mode
swtich, along with battery meters.

When the terrain becomes more challenging the
Ranger 400 and Ranger EV are both equipped with
Polaris’s On Demand True 4x4. This four
wheel drive system engages both front wheels
when the slip of just two tire lugs on the rear
tires is sensed providing full power at all
four wheels.

The one thing the we really like about
Polaris Ranger UTVs is their extremely
comfortable seat belts with 2" comfort
straps, which absorb those small bumps
you will encounter on any trail ride with
out jerking on your shoulder like on some
other manufacturer models. |
For 2010 all the Polaris UTV models including
the Ranger 400 and Ranger EV are equipped with
ROPS certified (roll over protection system) roll
cages. Each unit is designed to carry two people
and has three point safety belts for each occupant.
In an effort to make the safety belts more comfortable
over rough terrain Polaris installed 2-inch comfort
straps. These straps allow the safety belts to
move up to 2 inches lessening the shoulder discomfort
felt by the consumer while operating the Rangers
on uneven terrain. Polaris Lock and Ride system
is also standard on both units and Polaris has
designed a whole line of unit specific Pure Polaris
accessories for these all new Rangers.
Hardest working, smoothest riding, and value packed
don’t always go together but Polaris made
it a point to provide the consumer with just that.
Two all new machines that boast many class leading
features at a value price. These two new Rangers
are sure to be an asset to anyone weather you
are using them on the trail, around your acreage,
on the job, or around your towns public parks
each one of these machines has the capability
to work and play just as hard as the larger Ranger
line at a more budget minded value price.
