Inside the cab you will find the usual gauges,
including speedo, tachometer, trip meter, clock,
temp and fuel. Kymco has added a new easier
to use 4x4 switch and the parking brake is located
on the dash as well. The parking brake is also
equipped with a warning feature and will sound
once you hit 8 MPH and accidentally leave the
brake engaged.

The tilt steering wheel is a nice feature and
offers some adjustment for drivers. The bench
seats are surprisingly comfortable and the cab
is very spacious for the rider and passenger.
We had quite a lengthy test ride and didn’t
feel fatigued or uncomfortable at all and felt
like we could have driven the UXV450i all day
long.

We recently had the opportunity to take the
2015 Kymco UXV450i for a test ride at Big Buck
GNCC race location in Union, SC and we were
very excited to see what this new line of budget
priced UTV’s had to offer. There was a special
seven mile course laid out for us that had plenty
of terrain challenges, including some steep
hill climbs, tight trails, mud, rocks and trees,
what you would typically find at any GNCC race.
We felt this was a good test for the machine
as it featured anything you would also find
out in the woods during regular recreational
activities, which is what the UXV450i was built
for.

The new Kymco UXV450i has a fuel injection
system delivering fuel to the single overhead
cam 443cc engine and puts out 33HP. The engine
is the same one that is used in Kymco ATV’s
but the internal gear sets have been changed
to produce more power. It is not a high performance
machine, but it had enough power for recreational
purposes such as hunting, fishing, camping and
just cruising the trails. It did bog down a
bit on some of the steepest hills we decided
to climb, but it still made it to the top.
