Kernville, CA (11/12/2014) - With over 900,000 Honda Ranchers sold since its introduction in 2000, the Honda Rancher has become the best-selling ATV in Honda’s History.  Honda continues to fine tune and add new features to this very popular Honda Rancher Utility ATV. New for 2015 is the Honda Rancher DCT w/ IRS (Independent Rear Suspension)

The 2015 Honda Rancher DCT w/ IRS is the premium version of the Honda Rancher and is designed for those who want a value minded machine, but also wants to have many luxury features found on many of the big bore models like the Honda Rubicon. Some of the new features that can be found on the Honda Rancher DCT w/ IRS are Independent Rear Suspension, smoother DCT mapping, new body styling and colors, as well as many improved creature comforts; all contributing to a smoother more enjoyable ride.

Along with receiving Independent Rear Suspension, the 2015 Honda Rancher DCT IRS also received a smoother Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) and slightly new styling

We recently had a chance to ride the 2015 Honda Rancher DCT w/IRS in in the rocky hills of Kernville, CA which about an hour outside of Bakersfield, CA. Our unique drive up the dirt roads and into the densely wooded hills gave us just a glimpse of what Honda had in store for us; as the ride location was in prime condition after getting snowfall just days before our ride.

Just days before our ride, a few inches of snow fell, which made our ride even more unique in Kernville, California

Honda laid out about approximately a 20-mile loop of trails that winded through the many sequoia trees and large boulders that lay scattered in the area. The trail always kept you on your toes as their were many water breaks that you could jump, rutted out areas, challenging hill climbs and breath taking overlooks, which created a perfect testing facility to get familiar with the 2015 Honda Rancher DCT w/ IRS.

There were plenty water breaks that you could jump and catch air on the 2015 Honda Rancher DCT w/ IRS. Although this machine wasn't designed for jumping, we never experienced any bottoming out and our landing were alway smooth

Since we have had plenty of seat time on the original Honda Rancher that features a standard straight axle and swing arm, we were very excited to climb aboard the 2015 Honda Rancher DCT with Dual A-arm Independent Rear Suspension.  The difference was night and day!
