Jacksonville, TX - While many manufacturers have stepped up to produce purpose-specific ATV’s, most of their machines are geared toward either racing or cruising the trails, but Arctic Cat has recognized another aspect of the ATV world that has grown in popularity and have carved a unique niche for themselves with the production of the Arctic Cat 700 H1 EFI Mud Pro. As ATVriders.com would soon find out at the Arctic Cat press intro, this manufacturer has taken “playing dirty” to a whole new level.

Since Arctic Cat is U.S. based company, they have a distinct advantage over their foreign competitors in responding to U.S. consumer demand. While non-domestic manufacturers have to go through miles of red tape in development of their ATVs, Arctic Cat is able to avoid the red tape and respond much faster to market demand and put out an ATV that would take a lot longer for their competitors to accomplish.

Arctic Cat 700 H1 EFI Engine
Built at Arctic Cat’s own facility in St. Cloud, MN, the Arctic Cat 700 H1 EFI Mud Pro is powered by a 695cc liquid cooled, hemispherical combustion engine that delivers plenty of power and the special 4.0 gearing and tuned clutching provides massive amounts of low-end torque to get through deep, thick mud. The new snorkel, which is exclusive to the 700 H1 EFI Mud Pro, is hood mounted to keep mud and water out f the intake system, even in the deepest mud and water. The electronic fuel injection on the Mud Pro has been specially tuned to work with the new snorkel to provide optimum power.

The 2009 Arctic Cat Mud Pro 700 contains an ATV industry first with a front fender snorkel air system (above left) for the EFI, CVT intake & exhaust, which is essential for riding through deep mud or water, and prior to the MudPro, ATV owners needed to build custom snorkel systems out of PVC pipe (above right), which would void the factory warranty and decrease the overall appearance of the ATV
