#20 Josh Upperman Goes 1-1 at Round 2

Mesquite, Nevada - When the rain moved in Saturday evening, it looked like Round 2 of the DWT World ATV Motocross Championship Series was going to be a mud race, but fortunately, the sun came out Sunday morning, and by 11AM the track was in perfect condition for moto one with another $2,000 in pursue money up for grabs for each round of racing.

Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson grabbed the Moto One Holeshot, but Baldwin Motorsports’ Josh Upperman quickly made his way past Nelson to take over the lead with Can-Am’s Chad Wienen coming out in the third spot.

By the third lap, Dustin Nelson encountered a throttle issue, which forced him to pull over for a few seconds, which allowed both Chad Wienen and Jeremie Warnia the easy pass with Nelson coming back out in 4th place.

Wienen challenged Upperman for the lead for most of the race, but in the end, Upperman pulled away to secure the Moto 1 win with a 10 second lead over Wienen in the second spot, and Jeremie Warnia held onto a third place finish ahead of Dustin Nelson.
