Primm, NV (10/20/2015) – Beau Baron’s
quick thinking pit strategy paid off as he won his
second consecutive WORCS Pro ATV race at Buffalo
Bill’s Casino & Resort for the 2015 season finale.
H&M Motorsport’s David Haagsma finished in the
second spot, which handed him the 2015 WORCS ATV
Pro Championship. Duncan Racing’s Mike Sloan rounded
out the Pro ATV podium in his debut in the class.
Robbie Mitchell and Collins Webster rounded out
the top five.

With rain on and off all weekend and temperatures
in the mid-70s, the track was fast and fun, and
with the banquet set for the afternoon, the ATV
Main event was run in conjunction with the Motorcycle
Main, but the ATV course split for much of the
course.
LMR Racing’s Robbie Mitchell took advantage of
the fast and tacky condition and nabbed the holeshot
in the dead engine start. David Haagsma, whose
goal was the title, was on a mission and grabbed
the lead on the first lap, with Beau Baron just
behind him. At the midpoint of the race, Baron
elected to short pit and only take fuel. That
move put him in the lead for good and handed him
his second straight victory to end the year.

“I was going to wait until I could charge,” said
Baron. “I made a really quick pit stop, and I
didn’t take goggles or anything, and boom, I came
out in the lead. I just tried to extend the lead
the rest of the race.

Sparks Racing’s Beau Baron appears to have returned
to true form after he overcame injuries suffered
earlier this year to finish strong with two straight
wins. “It’s taken me awhile to get back my endurance
and my stamina,” said Baron. “I’m not the youngest
guy out here, so I want to push as much as I can.
I’m planning to do the WORCS ATV and side-by-side
racing next year I might even do some QuadCross.
It’s a lot on the plate, but I can do it.”

Maxxis’ David Haagsma was simply out to finish
third or better to clinch the title. After losing
the lead to Baron, he elected to run a conservative
pace to protect his championship.
