A fan favorite at WORCS Lake Havasu is the famous lagoon jump. Beau Baron was the only Pro to hit the jump each of the sixteen laps |
“Everyone was taking the same line on the lagoon jump. I started taking a wide line and was able to make it work every lap,” said Baron of his jumping style.
Baron’s win is his second of the season, and first ever win at Crazy Horse Camp Ground. He currently holds the points lead with 5 points over teammate David Haagsma.

Despite starting at the back of the field, DWT's #422 David Haagsma made his way to second place before crossing the finish on his Maxxis / H&M Motorsports 450R ATV at WORCS Round 3 |
H&M Motorsports / Maxxis Tires’ David Haagsma placed second on his Honda 450R ATV at WORCS Round 3.Haagsma got a rear pack start and was in fourth at the end of the first lap. Haagsma put on a hard charge and pushed his way to second place by lap three, although he had an intense battle with Robbie Mitchell and Dustin Nelson to get there.
“I had to ride smart and pick them off when I could. The track was pretty rough and the roost was gnarly,” regarded Haagsma of the passes he had to make during the sixteen lap race.
Haagsma used his Sparks Racing Motor to clock his personal fastest lap of the day on lap five, a 06:21.084. Haagsma not only made the podium in the Pro ATV race, but he also won the SxS Production 700 Class on his H&M Motorsports Polaris RZR 570 SxS / UTV.
“It was a great weekend; I got the win in my RZR and got on the box with my Honda. It’s great to finish H&M 1-2 for the weekend; it’s exactly what we want to do,” said Haagsma of his weekend.

#5 Robbie Mitchell placed third in the WORCS Pro Class earning his second Pro Podium of the season. Mitchell currently holds down third place in the WORCS Pro Points after Lake Havasu WORCS |
Robbie Mitchell earned his second podium of the season aboard his LMR / Exit Shocks Honda. Mitchell got off to a good start and quickly moved into second with Baron applying the pressure. Mitchell dropped to third at the end of the first lap. He began a back and forth battle with Dustin Nelson on the second lap. The battle was close and rough roost seemed to be the only thing that could separate the pair.
“At times I had to stay back from him because of the rocks in the roost. I did get past him and tried to charge but I wore out a bit and he got back around me. I was rolling and I thought I was still in fourth but my crew said I was up to third. I just kept pushing until the end of the race,” said Mitchell.
