                                  7 - Cahuilla Creek - Pro ATV Race Report::Continued::
 Can-Am/Motoworks’ Dillon Zimmerman was
looking strong as he grabbed the holeshot, which
was icing on the cake for Zimmerman, who was celebrating
his birthday on Sunday. Zimmerman was immediately
under pressure from Beau Baron, but he held his
ground and held off Baron for several laps before
falling back to second. “It felt great to
get that holeshot and lead. I felt good out there
and my quad was running awesome. I knew it was
going to be dusty, so I wanted a good start and
                                I got it,” said Zimmerman.

#49 Dillon Zimmerman put in a WORCS career
best charge as he secured the 2nd place
                                      finish on the Podium
 | Once in second place, Zimmerman set a fast and
steady pace for himself and in the final laps,
he got his second wind and was able to close the
gap on the leader. “I closed in on Beau
a bit, but he was running really fast and it was
pretty dusty. I stayed close and finished in second.
It was my best finish and I am really happy about
it. Hopefully I can finish on the podium again
at the final round,” said Zimmerman. Can-Am/Motoworks’ Josh Frederick did not
get the start he was looking for when the gate
dropped. “I was last off the start and when
I went into the rock section in the first lap,
I ended up flipping and that put me behind again,”
said Frederick.Frederick was not about to give up and mounted
an incredible charge, moving into sixth place
before the end of the first lap. Frederick kept
the hammer down and was able to take over the
number three spot at the midway point of the race.

#2 Josh Frederick over came a rough first
lap to secure the final spot on the Podium | Once in third, he began to close the gap on his
teammate, Dillon Zimmerman, but he was not able
to see well enough due to all the dust and was
not able to get close enough to make a pass. “It
was so dusty and I couldn’t see so I ended
up in third. Dillon was riding really well and
I am really happy for him that he took second,”
                                said Frederick.

in third off the start and held his position for
several laps. “I caught up to Dillon, who
was in second, but I was eating a lot of dust
so I couldn’t really do anything and then
Josh passed me so I just stayed in fourth and
tried to stay consistent,” said Haagsma,
who ended his day in fourth.
