Pro ATV Moto Two
2010 European Quadcross ATV Motocross Racing
Italy's favorite, #71 Nicola Montalbini grabbed the Moto 2 Holeshot & held on to claim the Moto Win
The second moto was won by Montalbini. The Italian rider had the Holeshot with Paul Holmes and drove away from everyone and anything. Consistently riding fast laps and having the way clear, made it impossible for others to catch up.

Behind him Davy Brems was able to go from fourth to second place. Brems had a bad first moto, a twelfth place after stalling his engine while overtaking a lapped rider. He overtook the KTM’s of Holmes and Watson and had a comfortable lead on Matthieu Ternynck. The Frenchmen had again a podium finish, this time with third place. During the race, Ternynck could benefit from crash in front of him, to climb form seventh to third place.

Jason MacBeth gained a spot, ending on fourth place in the second moto. Fifth place came to Paul Holmes. The 2009 Champion had a great start, but an accident in the final of the race ended al hopes of a podium finish. Nevertheless, Holmes kept on fighting and could gain two places and so gaining precious Championship points.

Pro ATV Moto Three
The holeshot in Moto 3 was again for Nicola Montalbini. The Italian rider was off to a great start, so was Vlaeymans and Holmes. Montalbini lead the pack the entire race.

Romain Couprie - Yamaha YFZ450R ATV
Romain Couprie came on strong in the final Moto to claim the 2nd spot right behind Nicola Montalbini
Only Couprie was able to challenge Montalbini for the lead in the final laps, and W-Tec's Vlaeymanswas also in the hunt for a podium finish before he collided with a lappped racers, which dropped him back to an eigth place finish.

Third place came to Matthieu Ternynck again. His third podium finish of the day. The Frenchmen is certainly on a roll. Leaving the first corner in twelfth position. Ternynck was able to fight his way back and score important points. He didn’t got it for free to. For over half a race, Ternynck and Holmes fought out a great battle. Giving the win to Ternynck with only tenths of seconds. Behind them, Jason Macbeth was trying to score from the fight.

Macbeth had a great weekend and gained two places in the Championship standing, ending up at third place. Joe Maessen and Jan Vlaeymans lost both a place. Couprie stays on top, but his advance on countrymen Matthieu Ternynck shrank with 8 points.

After three of the seven rounds, the Championship is taking on its shape. Romain Couprie has a comfortable lead after a great start. Ternynck on the other hand, is in the middle of a fantastic catch up. Behind them, everything remains close. Joe Maessen rides very consistent and scores points every weekend. Jan Vlaeymans has a handicap of one DNF, thereby losing expensive points. Brems and Holmes rode like Maessen consistent races, and thus are only 5 points behind. Mark Watson grows with every round, and is trying to close the gap. Just like Watson, Nicola Montalbini had a terrific weekend. But, both riders have already two DNF’s.

Thus, with small gaps separating the third till tenth place. Everything still seems possible. Four rounds are still ahead, which results in twelve moto's where points can be earned.

Round Four of the UEM European Championship is in Poland on June 5-6th, 2010
