JH Racing’s Johnny Hale finished out the weekend with two podium finishes in both the Open Expert and Pro-Am Classes. In a repeat performance of finish 5-3 in both classes, Hale claimed a top three overall finish in both as well.

Johnny Hale has been recovering from an injured wrist and with the lack of training over the winter, he was dealing with some arm pump, but he is looking forward to the rest of the TQRA season and also heading east to the motocross nationals.
Louisiana’s #2 Blake Granger finished in fourth with his 6-4 finishes followed by JH Racing’s Kyle Dill rounding out the top five in the Pro-Am class.

Motorsports’ John Natalie looked as good as ever at the TQRA opener as he grabbed the Pro-Am moto one holeshot, and he lead the moto from start to finish with Thomas Brown in chase, but Natalie was able to pull away in the final laps for the easy win.

In moto two, Natalie got off to another great start in the second spot behind Brown. Natalie made the pass on Brown to take over the lead before end of lap one, and it appeared Natalie was on his way for to a 1-1 finish until his axle snapped in the final laps, which ended his race with a ninth place finish, and even though, Natalie may be the oldest guy in the pro class, but he appears to still have the speed to contend for a third championship in 2014.

The opening round of the 2013 TQRA Motocross series proved to be an exciting one with some of the best racers in the country competing for the top spot on the podium. The TQRA Racing Series will head to Shogun MX in Lane, OK for round 2 on March 8-9.
