Hunter Miller holds off his brother,
#22 Cody, in Moto One to claim the 2nd
spot behind Chase Snapp |
Can-Am X-Team racer Hunter Miller was looking
solid as he charged off the line in second in
moto one of the Open Expert class. Miller held
his position for the entire race despite pressure
from his brother Cody Miller, and would finish
in a respectable second place.
In the second Open Expert moto, Miller was
in third off the start and held his position
from start to finish, Miller’s solid
2-3 finishes allowed him to claim the final
spot on the Open Expert podium. “Everything
went well for me in the Open Expert class.
Cody and I battled a little bit in the first
moto and I held him off so that was kind of
fun,” said Miller.

Cameron Reimers rode two consistent motos
in the Open expert class by going 5-4 for
fourth overall. Corey Snapp was looking good
in the first moto as he took a solid fourth
place finish, but Snapp ran into some mechanical
issues in moto two that would give him a sixth
place finish. Luckily, Snapp’s 4-6 finishes
were enough to have him round out the top
five while Caleb Schatz finished in sixth.

The
Snapp Brother's battled in Pro-Am Moto
One with #221 Corey Snapp leading the
battle early in the moto before Chase
made the pass & moved up into the
2nd spot behind Cody Miller |
In the Pro-am class Chase Snapp was looking
for another win, but he would end up missing
a shift off the start in moto one and went into
the first turn in last place. Snapp fought hard
and made his way through traffic, working his
way into second before reaching the checkered
flag.
In moto two, the rain was falling, making for
slick conditions, but Snapp did get a better
start and was in second right behind Cody Miller,
who had grabbed the holeshot. The pair battle
for most of the moto, but just two laps before
the checkered flag, Snapp and Miller connected
in a corner, which resulted in Miller going
over the berm and allowing Snapp to take over
the lead and take the win.
“It was a pretty narrow track and it
was kind of hard to pass. I felt bad that
Cody went over the berm, but I’m happy
that I got the win,” stated Snapp, whose
2-1 finishes gave him the overall Pro-am win.
