Kyle Chaney Leads TORC Pro
Mod UTV Points
::Continued::
Chaney held onto the points lead with his fifth
consecutive second-place finish. VanEperen is
second in the title chase, 14 points back. Chaney’s
consistency is unmatched this season, as is his
professionalism. Despite several opportunities
to take out VanEperen for the victory, he drove
a perfectly clean race.

Can-Am's
Kyle Chaney has been the most consistent
racer in the Pro Mod UTV class by securing
his fifth straight 2nd place, which has
kept him in the points lead
|
“Tim definitely could have punted me a few times
and I could have punted VanEperen,” said Chaney.
“That’s what’s good about the Pros here. I’m still
happy with second and I still have the points
lead. I changed my setup a little bit today and
my car worked well. I knew I had a chance, but
that guy knows these tracks. We’re working on
some stuff and we’ll get him before the end of
the year.”
Farr gave everything he had to try to pass Chaney.
With Luburgh in his rearview mirror in the final
few laps, he chose the wise strategy to run for
third and he ended up with his fourth podium of
the season.

JB Racing's
Tim Farr was able to hold off Treavis
Poynter to secure the final spot on the
podium
|
“If either Kyle or VanEperen had made a mistake
I was right there,” said Farr. “Toward the end,
Luburgh challenged me. I took a wide line to get
by Kyle and he clobbered me pretty good. So I
had to tighten it up from there. I just wanted
to make sure we got on the podium today.”
Schultz’s Bikeman Polaris was again in contention.
After the mid-race caution Shultz was running
in his teammate Luburgh’s roost. When Luburgh
tipped over, he took fourth.
|
Bikeman Performance's
Jason Luburgh went for the podium on the
final lap, which caused him to tip over,
which dropped him back to 6th place
|
“Going into the competition caution, Luburgh
came around me and the track started to break
apart,” said Schultz. “Fortunately for me, he
tipped over and I was able to get around him.
I absolutely love Crandon. I raced here last year
and that’s why I joined the TORC Series this year
full time.”

Crash Addict's
Drew Schultz secured the fourth spot &
he is currently top five in points
|
Zakowski continues to show consistency in his
Yamaha. He came into the event with a bent frame
on his ride and despite handling issues, he scored
his second consecutive top five.
|
Kenda's Zac
Zakowski is currently 4th place in points,
just one point behind Tim Farr
|
“Two fives and it was a good weekend,” said Zakowski.
“We’re getting good points and we’re staying consistent.
The track was slick again today. It turned into
blue groove and got to be one line, but it was
good. We came down to the final turn and Luburgh
had a little lead on me. Then I saw that yellow
cage tumbling in the corner. My spotter told me
to stay inside, so I tucked under him and picked
up a position.”
