championship - Round 2 - Women Pro RZR
Podium
Hailie Deegan (3rd), Sara Price (1st),
Shelby Anderson (2nd)

“Shelby is an awesome racer and it’s great being
able to compete against racers of her caliber,”
said Price. “It was hairy, and it was neck and
neck at the end. I got a lot of positions early
and then hunted down Shelby. It came down to that
final corner.”

Sara Price made the pass on Shelby Anderson
heading into the final turn of the race
to claim her second win on the weekend

Anderson started fifth after being involved in
a hard crash in qualifying in the first race.
She slowly worked her way through the field to
net the runner-up slot.

Place finish in Round One at Hay Days

“I had bad wreck on Saturday, and I was kind
of nervous,” said Anderson. “I am super stoked
to come out second behind Sara. I pulled this
one off for my dad on his birthday. It’s a rough
track, something I learned yesterday and it is
definitely a lot more technical. There is a lot
of stopping and going and you really have to preserve
your car to make it to the end. I definitely had
a battle and I definitely had to work my way to
the front. Some people crashed and some people
broke, but it was nice to be up front, especially
after yesterday.
Anderson took the holeshot in the second race
and led almost every lap…except the last one.

It’s always awesome battling with Sara,” said
Anderson. “Hopefully, in North Carolina, I’ll
hold her off. I held her off until the last corner
of the last lap. We’ll get her next time.”
