One of the most grueling races on the planet
is the Baja 1000’s Ironman class. This year,
Josh Hogan decided to take on that challenge aboard
his Suzuki Quadracer R450. Out of the 31 brave
souls who started out in the Ironman class, only
18 of them finished. Although exhausted by his
solo efforts, Hogan finished second in the Ironman
class and took 7th overall in the Sportsman ATV
class, which is quite an accomplishment for a
team let alone one man.

race in 27 hours and 57 minutes and were the only
UTV team to finish the 2008 Baja 1000.

Arctic

the first ever UTVs to finish the BAJA 1000
with 1804 taking the win followed by 1805,
and team was amazed they never got a flat
with the all new 8 Ply GBC's GrimReaper

Roger Norman took the win in the Trophy Truck
class, followed by BJ Baldwin in second and Chad
Ragland in third. Chuck Dempsey claimed the win
in the Class 1 Unlimited with Harley Letner in
second and Ron Brant claimed the third position.
The overall win went to Motorcycle Class 22 racer
Robby Bell who finished with an amazing time of
12 hours 29 minutes.
This year’s Baja 1000, although shorter
than usual, still packed in plenty of excitement
that will give its racers a lifetime of memories
and drive many back to the drawing board to already
begin planning for next year’s challenges
that await them out in the Baja Peninsula desert.
