Beau Baron grabbed the holeshot in the first
moto, but came under pressure from Dustin Nelson.
“Dustin was right behind me and he had this
crazy line he took through the whoops section
and just blew by me. I was right behind him, but
I was getting a lot of roost and just couldn’t
get around him,” said Baron.

From there, Baron battled with Haagsma for a
couple of laps, but fell back to third, where
he would finish for the first moto. In moto two,
Baron was in third off the start and battling
it out with Dustin Nelson for the number two spot.
“I was right on Dustin and he ended up
blowing a berm and I got around him. I started
to reel in David, but I ran out of time before
I could get close,” said Baron, who finished
in third for moto two, giving him third overall
for the day.
Yamaha’s Josh Row put in two consistent
motos going 4-4 or fourth overall.

Co's #45 Colt Brinkerhoff rounded out the
Top 5 |
Colt Brinkerhoff rebounded from his mechanical
issues the day before and claimed 5-6 finishes,
rounding out the top five.
Lance Hancock finished sixth overall with a pair
of seventh place moto finishes while Jason Fife
claimed seventh.
Former Quad X series pro champ, Kory Ellis came
out to play for round seven, but issues in the
second moto, put an early end to his day, putting
him in eighth place overall.
Round number 8 of the 2012 Yamaha Quad X series
will head to Speedworld MX in Surprise, AZ for
the second night race of the season on Saturday,
September 29th, where David Haagsma and Dustin
Nelson will be battling it out for the points
lead.
