NEATV-MX - New England ATV Motocross Series

NEATV-MX Racing ATV Motocross Race Report
::Continued::

The Pro-Am class was next up on the line and with the same amount of riders on the gate as the Pro class, the eleven racers were neck and neck heading into the first corner.

Can-Am / FOX / Walsh’s Josh Creamer was all by himself this weekend in the pits turning his own wrenches and he was out to prove his inner strength as he came off the line in the Pro-Am class. Creamer got out to a great start and was able to solidify a nice lead for himself before the checkered flag flew on moto one, setting himself up for a solid finish on the day.

BCS Performance / ITP / Troy lee’s Josh Creamer didn’t get off to such a hot start in the second moto however because of a missed, false neutral, shift halfway down the holeshot stretch sending him to the rear of the pack. Creamer didn’t let this dampen his spirits though as he quickly got back on the throttle to pursue the rest of the pack. Creamer sliced and diced his way up through the pack and eventually battled with fellow Can-Am racer Travis Moore while on his way up and into the second spot. Creamer finished off his day in Pro-Am going 1-2 which was good enough for the overall win.

With his second place finish in Pro-Am Moto 2, Creamer was able to earn the overall

“I had a bad start in both of the Pro-Am motos for some reason and I wasn’t too happy about that but in the end I was able to fight back for the overall win. The second moto was super dusty and I would have loved to have had some clear track and I was just rolling around in third place because I literally couldn’t see. In the end it was a great overall finish for the weekend and I gotta thank my sponsors and Joe Fritz and his family for putting on a great race weekend and having a good track as usual,” said Creamer.

Whitcher Motorsports / BCS Performance / Can-Am’s Travis Moore had a great run in the Pro-Am class as well, despite being very under-the-weather this weekend after traveling from Tennessee for the race. Moore came out of the holeshot for moto one with a good start and was keeping his pace up with the rest of the pack when suddenly Hetrick lost a front left tire after it blew off the bead causing a flat. This allowed the rest of the back to jockey for position and threw a wrench in the system. Moore ended up pushing his way into and holding down second place for this moto.

FLY / Elka / DWT’s Travis Moore had another good run in the second moto of Pro-Am as he had another solid start and was mistake free for the remainder of the six-lap race. Moore kept his head down while riding in the third place position and was able to maintain this spot, even after battling with Creamer, to round out the day going 2-3 for second place overall.

JB Racing / Mtn Dew Live Wire / Can-Am’s Joel Hetrick got a great holeshot in Pro-Am moto one but luck was not on his side as he landed extremely hard coming down out of the six-pack section and blew out his front left tire. This caused him to go over the berm and off course. Hetrick righted himself and pursued the pack but had to settle for a sixth place position for moto one.

Despite his flat tire in Pro-Am Moto 1, Joel Hetrick was still able to finish third overall

DWT / Elka / FLY’s Joel Hetrick had a much better moto in the second part of the Pro-Am class however as he was able to get out front quickly and pull away with the lead. The moto was extremely dusty and Hetrick was able to use this to his advantage and literally leave the other racers “in his dust”. Hetrick finished out the day going 6-1 for third place overall.
