Clifford, PA (9/3/2013) - The New England ATV MX series was back in full swing as the championship series changed directions in more ways than one. The series headed back South to the Hurricane Hills MX facility in Clifford, PA and also found out that the track direction itself, was changed. The entire track’s direction was changed, so now what was an uphill step-up was now a gnarly step-down and what was a down-hill triple, was now a massive up-hill booter-triple which sent racers soaring through the air!

The weekend’s weather was as perfect as can be with temps in the mid 80’s with high humidity, it had the racers soaked in sweat and pumping with adrenaline.

Josh Creamer - Can-Am DS450 ATV
Josh Creamer grabbed the Holeshot in the NEATV-MX Pro Class on his BCS Performance / Can-Am DS450 ATV

Can-Am / BCS Performance / Walsh Racecraft’s Josh Creamer was back in action for this round with a fresh set of new-generation FOX racing shocks which the team used for the weekend on a rough and tumble track that was perfect for testing. Creamer and the team’s tests seemed to have went great as Creamer dominated the Pro class going 1-1 on the weekend.

Creamer came off the gate for Pro moto one and snagged the holeshot just ahead of Preston Young who went wide and then shot back inside ahead of Nick Moser who came out in third. Creamer then held his BCS Performance powered DS450 ATV wide open and lead the pack around the tacky course to go on and take the win.

Pro Moto two for Creamer was much the same after the team made a few tweaks to the quad to improve handling for the rough track. Creamer put his ITP Tires / Atlas Brace / Troy Lee Designs Can-Am right to the front of the pack out of the gate and into the gnarly left hander to take the holeshot. From here, Creamer put on a charge and put time between himself and the rest of the field as he went on to take another win going 1-1 in the class and taking the overall victory.

Josh Creamer once again earned the win in the NEATV-MX Pro Moto 2 to take the overall win at Hurricane Hills in Clifford, Pennsulvaina

“We’ve got some new suspension on the quad and what more of a perfect scenario to test these FOX shocks out on than at this track. They changed it all around and there’s some huge air and lots of rough stuff to tackle and the quad handled it all perfectly. My ITP tires hooked up great and held strong for the length of the motos and I couldn’t be happier with those results. I intend on making the next round at Hemond’s and then going to take some time to relax and focus on myself, we have a hunting trip coming up in November to Close Encounter’s Whitetail Outfitters in Ohio, and I’m super pumped for that! It was some great racing here this weekend and I’m looking forward to the Pro-Am motos as well!”, said Creamer.

Preston Young - Honda 450R ATV

Preston Young placed second in NEATV-MX Pro Moto 2 on his Honda 450R ATV

DASA’s Preston Young, who has been on fire for the last several rounds, pulled out a big set of moto finishes at Hurricane Hills, going 2-2 on the weekend finishing in second place overall. Young came off the line in the first moto and slid into second place off the holeshot and followed in Creamer’s tracks around the first few corners. From there, Young had his work cut out for him as Pennsylvania native Nick Moser was hot on his heels coming off the gate and eventually got by Young heading into the hills. Young then capitalized on a mistake made by Moser and got back by and into the second place spot where he finished the first moto.

Spastic / FOX / DWT’s Preston Young was back in the saddle for Pro moto two and came out swinging, this time taking a third place out of the holeshot and having to work his way around Moser who was running in second place. Young eventually got a break and was able to get by Moser before the checkered flag flew, securing a second place spot and second place overall on the podium.

“This round has really tightened up the points battled between Travis and myself. I was 45 points out of first place and with me beating him the first moto and the bad luck he had in the second one, it’s going to get really interesting heading into Maine for the next round! My quad has a lot of time on it and this track really makes you work and really beats up your body and the machine. I’m really happy with the outcome and I’m looking forward to the next round!”, said Young.
