"After that second Pro moto, we made the
call that the second Pro-Am race wasn't too
important with my health being in jeopardy,
being how rough and demanding Southwick is,
we were scared that I could possibly wreck and
result with me being out for a couple months,"
commented Moore on missing his second Pro-Am
moto.

Canadian
Pro ATV Champion Richard Pelchat placed
third overall on his Can-Am DS450 ATV |
Multi time Canadian Champion Richard Pelchat
made an unexpected appearance to the series
on race day. Pelchat had a strong start in the
first Pro moto on his Can-Am DS 450, taking
the holeshot and leading for the first few laps
before Creamer made his move, putting Pelchat
back into second, and taking a second in the
first moto. In the second Pro moto, Pelchat
started off in the back of the pack, but made
quick work and found himself in second behind
Creamer. Pelchat felt the pressure from Southside
Polaris rider, Travis Moore, closing in on him
in the fourth lap. Moore would make his move,
pushing Pelchat back to third, resulting in
a third overall in the Pro class.
"My Can-Am bike ran awesome! The 911 racing
engine was perfect, the Motoworks’ pipe
was good, and were getting the Fox Shox dialed
in, but other than that, the bike handled this
really rough track very well, and it was a lot
of fun to ride," commented Pelchat on his
Can-Am DS 450.

Creamer made his way up to the front of
the pack after getting thrown off his
ATV in Pro-Am Moto 1 |
Lucas Oil’s Josh Creamer had a tough
start in the first Pro-Am moto when he was hit
from behind in the second corner and thrown
off of his quad. Creamer rode hard trying to
gain position, and was making quick work through
the pack. In the first two laps, Creamer was
able to gain four positions, and wouldn't stop
there. FMF's Creamer was able to make his way
up to second in the last lap. "I put on
a real hard charge and was able to catch up
to Pelchat, but just ran out of time,"
commented Creamer.
Maxxis Tire’s Creamer charged off the
line taking the holeshot in the second Pro-Am
moto. Creamer gained distance between himself
and the pack early in the moto, and was able
to set it on cruise control and take the win,
putting him on the top of the podium in the
Pro-Am class for the day.
