Englishtown, NJ - NEATV-MX visited
a new track, Raceway Park, for the ninth round
of the series this weekend. On Saturday, the blue
sky held hardly any clouds and hot temperatures
were seen throughout most of the day. Threats
of showers lingered in the far distance, but held
off for the kid’s first motos, and also
the Pitbike and Trophy Karts motos. This was the
second time the Trophy Karts have raced in the
NEATV-MX series and a first for Pitbikes, this
season. There was a fair amount of riders for
the Pitbikes, and the same three Trophy Karts
that the series had seen at Hemond’s back
in July. Race day also held a strong chance of
thunderstorms in the afternoon, so some motos
were double gated in order to make them move along
quicker.
The temperatures stayed cool with partly covered
skies and a light breeze throughout the morning.
After lightening struck in the distance, the
second motos were cut down to three laps, and
the Pro-Am to four. The series was able to get
all but two motos finished before the big storm
finally hit. With a very tall staircase jump
and also a huge table top, this track was a
lot of fun for both riders and spectators.

2010 AMA ATV MX National Champion Josh Creamer
set his sights on Dustin Wimmer in the first
Pro moto after coming off the line second, behind
Wimmer. Creamer kept close range with Wimmer
throughout the first moto, but was unable to
make any moves, finishing second. “I was
kind of just glued to Wimmer’s bumper,
this was a tight race track, really one lined,
and hard to make moves,”
commented Creamer.

Creamer started the second Pro moto like his
first, in second behind Wimmer. Creamer pushed
hard in the first few laps, closing in on Wimmer.
In the third lap, Creamer made his move in a
corner before the staircase, passing Wimmer
to take over the lead. Creamer gained enough
distance throughout the remaining laps to hold
off Wimmer from making a pass. Creamer would
finish first, taking the overall win in the
Pro class.
