Minot, ME - Hemond’s Motocross
Park hosted the sixth round of the NEATV-MX Series.
The weekend was full of sunny skies and warm temperatures.
The track got a bit dusty in the turns, but the
track was well maintained and liked by all riders.
A moderate turnout of riders and spectators were
seen this weekend. Scott Perkins from Maxxis Tires
was also in attendance at this round showing his
support for the series. “Everyone seems
to love this series, the actions always good and
it’s good for Maxxis as well,” commented
Scott on the NEATV-MX Series.
Motoworks/DWT Can-Am Josh Creamer had an excellent
day on the track after finding out some not
so great news. Creamer found out that he has
no ACL in his left knee after injuring it a
few weeks ago. “My knee bothered me a
bit, but I put it in the back of my mind. I
plan on sucking it up and pushing through the
entire season,” stated Creamer on his
outlook on the season with his injury.
Also missing from the line-up for Round 6 was
Golden West Cycle's Jason Dunkelberger who is
recoverying from an wreck while practicing,
but Dunk should be backin action by the next
round.

#270 Josh Creamer grabbed the Holeshot

Wimmer took over the lead when Creamer

Creamer took the Nac’s Holeshot in the
first Pro moto. He led the first lap, but then
went over a berm which allowed Wimmer to make
a pass. Creamer battled with Wimmer for the
next six laps. Creamer took back first when
both he and Wimmer went side by side into a
one lined turn. Creamer took the win in the
first moto.

In Moto
Two, DWT's #270 Josh Creamer once again
was able to charge his way to the front
to claim the Pro ATV Win
|
In the second moto, Creamer came out third
behind Jasmin Plante. Creamer was able to make
a pass on Plante early in the first lap. Creamer
set his sights on Wimmer and made the pass in
the second to last lap. Creamer took the overall
win in the Pro class.
Suzuki LTR 450 mounted Dustin Wimmer also had
a great day on the track. Wimmer flew off the
line in second. He made his pass on Creamer
in the first lap and held onto the lead for
most of the race. Wimmer and Creamer went into
a turn side by side, which resulted in Wimmer
getting flipped over the berm. He got back on
his bike and finished the first moto in second.

Innovation's #191 Dustin Wimmer held the
lead both Pro Motos with an intense battles
with #270 Josh Creamer, but in the end,
Wimmer finished 2nd on the day, but Wimmer
maintains the Pro Points lead by 7 points
over Creamer at the midway point, which
should make for some exciting racing action
for the 2nd half of the season |
Wimmer started the second moto in second behind
Plante, but quickly passed him and took over
first. Wimmer rode hard and found good lines
on the track. Wimmer was passed by Creamer in
the second to last lap. Wimmer finished second
overall in the Pro class.
