Jasmin Plante grabbed the Holeshot in
Both Open Pro-Am Motos, but a DNF in Moto
2 kept him off the Podium after a 2nd
place finish in Moto 1 |
The Open Pro-am class was pretty much a repeat
for Michael Pilotte as he ran away with both
moto wins and the overall, while Joe Haavisto
again settled for second overall. Jason Connell
had a much better run in the Pro-am class, taking
a very consistent 3-3 finish and claiming the
number three spot overall. Aaron Meyer once
again was looking good as he also ran two consistent
motos to taking fourth overall with his 5-5
finishes. Nate Morello, who ran into a little
trouble in moto one when he stalled on the gate,
was able still able to put the hammer down to
take fifth overall leaving Rocco Arno, Jr. to
settle for sixth, with Can-Am’s Matt Pomeroy
taking seventh. Jesse Onesti would grab the
number eight spot overall with Vincent Mofford
in ninth and Mathieu DeRoy would round out the
Pro-am top ten.
Susan Parker came on strong in the Women’s
class to take a 1-1 finish and the overall while
edging out Catherine Plante, who’s had
a very successful NEATVMX debut, taking a consistent
2-2 finish that would find her in the number
two spot overall. Angie Maher looked good as
her 3-3 finishes would earn her third overall
with Amy Thompson claiming fourth and Laura
Pilotte would round out the top five.
Mathieu DeRoy would claim the top spot in the
Open Expert A, winning both motos, while Joseph
Fratus would take a consistent second overall
and Dillon Bisson would finish in third. In
4-Stroke Expert A, Jesse Onesti would take the
overall win followed by David Livingston in
second and Joseph Fratus would claim third.
In the Youth 200/300 class, Abram Hakala was
looking good as he grabbed both moto wins to
take home the overall with Joshua Mondo finishing
second overall and Curtis Roberts would round
out the top three. Davis Eames would find himself
in the number one spot in the 50cc Limited class
with Cameron DuFault claiming second and Daniel
Balzano would edge out the competition to take
home third. In the 90 Jr. class, Ryan Dupont
would fend off Shayn Gendreau for the win. Daniel
Pollard would take home third, with his brother
Wade Pollard finishing in a close fourth. Ryan
Dupont also claimed the victory in the 90 Mod.
Class, followed by Kellie Moran in second, and
Ethan Pearson in third.
Round number nine of the 2009 New England ATV
Motocross Series will be heading to Lyman, ME
on August 23rd where MX207 will be the hosting
facility for all the action. With only four
rounds left in the 2009 season, the points battles
are beginning to heat up as Kawasaki’s
Joe Haavisto tries to hang on to the points
lead as Michael Pilotte tries to close the gap
or his shot at the Pro and Pro-am championships.
