Dirt Track ATV Racing - Round 5 - Race Report

Ace would run a clean race and stick to his line for the remaining laps until the checkered flew only a short while later. Ace again wrapped up his second championship for the 2012 season in the Pro-Am class and is hopeful for another win at the final round next month.

After grabbing the NE EDT Pro-Am Holeshot Justin Frindt lead for several lap before being passed by Brian Ace. Frindt would take the NE EDT Pro-Am Podium in second |
#6 TSI / ESJ / Roberts Racing’s Justin Frindt would come off the line and nab the holeshot. Frindt would then come under pressure from Ace quickly in the race and would be bumped back to second place where he would finish at the end of the race. Frindt would however not go down without a battle as he pushed his Kawasaki KFX450 ATV to the limit chasing down Ace who would slowly gain a lead as the laps ticked down. Frindt would stay clean as well and come away with a 2nd place finish and would be happy for the event.

#92 Michael Houghton rounded out the NE EDT Pro-Am Podium in third |
#92 Baldwin / PEP / Fly’s Michael Houghton would have another great showing in the Pro-Am division as he would come off the line in the 3rd place position and would remain here for the rest of the event.
Houghton would slip and slide his way around the Oakland Valley track and fend off charges from Evanyke who was looking to advance his position. Fortunately for Houghton he was fast enough to come away with a podium finish.

The final race of the North East Extreme Dirt Track series will next visit the Batavia Motor Speedway in Batavia, NY on October 6th. The last race will be sure to be exciting and with some of the best turnouts of the season will sure to be a great season finale!
