NE EDT Brian Ace Continues
Winning Streak at Syndersville Raceway
::Continued::
In the main it was Brian Ace on his Baldwin Honda
taking the $100 Harry’s Lawn Care holeshot
with Eric Jennings in second and Evanyke in third.
Justin Frindt, in fourth, was putting the option
lanes to work trying to get by Evanyke for third.
Just before the half way Ace, the leader, started
getting into lap traffic slowing him up just a
bit but still was 3:00+ seconds ahead of Jennings.
Frindt chasing Evanyke suffered chain issues ultimately
with a DNF which left the battle for the fourth
place spot between Mike LaBagh and Andrew Ace.
With 5 laps to go, Ace and LaBagh were swapping
back and forth with some physical contact, but
Ace was able to get by LaBagh for fourth place.
After the 15 laps it was Brian Ace, Eric Jennings
and Andrew Evanyke with his first podium in the
Pro/Am Class.
With the Pro class having only the diehards who
are in the points chase, no one wanted to give
up anything. The Pro heat went quick with Brian
Ace taking the holeshot and younger brother Andrew
behind him. Justin Frindt made a great pass coming
into turn one taking away second from Andrew Ace.
The heat ended up placing Brian Ace, Frindt and
Andrew Ace in third.
The main was the same, just a few different starting
spots. With Kahrissa Bechtold as the 30 second
girl on the track, it meant business. The riders
waited for her to run off the track and the green
light came on! It was that famous Baldwin power
just out front of Eric Jennings. Into the first
turn Jennings was just on the outside of Brian
Ace, with Ace just grabbing the $150 Harry’s
Lawn Care holeshot, Jennings was pushed wide.
After the first lap it was Brian Ace, Justin
Frindt, Andrew Ace and Eric Jennings. The order
ultimately didn’t change but once again
it was Andrew Ace and Eric Jennings putting on
some of the best racing that had every spectator
on their feet. Jennings continued switching lanes
almost every lap trying to get by Ace. After 19
laps Jennings made one last move to the double
double option lane, as the option lanes came back
together Jennings was right on Ace going into
a big sweeping turn coming down the front straightway
to the finish line. Ace was able to beat Jennings
by a front tire at the line. Overall it was Brian
Ace, Justin Frindt and Andrew Ace with the final
spot on the podium.
